Improvement of entanglement transfer by weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains

Abstract

The effect of weak measurement (WM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR) on the entanglement transfer in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains is investigated. We find that the entanglement transfer can be enhanced by the WM and QMR control for different N ( N is the length of each spin chain) and m ( m denotes the m th spin pair). More interestingly, we also find that, in the thermodynamic limit where the so-called phase-shift control is invalid, the WM and QMR control is instead very effective. So this investigation indicates that the WM and QMR approach has potential applications in quantum information processing based on the spin chain.

Robust state transfer in the quantum spin channel via weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal

Zhi He, Chunmei Yao, Jian Zou

Using the weak measurement (WM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR) approach, robust state transfer and entanglement distribution can be realized in the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ Heisenberg chain. We find that the ultrahigh fidelity and long distance of quantum state transfer with certain success probability can be obtained using proper WM and QMR, i.e., the average fidelity of a general pure state from $80%$ to almost $100%$, which is almost size independent. We also find that the distance and quality of entanglement distribution for the Bell state and the general Werner mixed state can be obviously improved by the WM and QMR approach.

Restoration of entanglement transfer by environment-assisted measurement and quantum measurement reversal in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains

Yang Leng

Abstract The effect of environment-assisted measurement and quantum measurement reversal on the entanglement transfer in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains is investigated. We derive the exact analytical expression of the optimal final restoration, show that the distribution entanglement could be restored to the initial value, which is independent of the size of the spin chain. Comparing with the results obtained by the method of weak measurement, our results show notable superiorities on restoration scope and success probability.

Enhancing the precision of phase estimation by weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal

Zhi He, Chunmei Yao

The enhancement of the precision of phase estimation in quantum metrology is investigated by employing weak measurement (WM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR). We derive the exact expressions of the optimal quantum Fisher information (QFI) and success probability of phase estimation for an exactly solving model consisting of a qubit interacting with a structured reservoir. We show that the QFI can be obviously enhanced by means of the WM and QMR in different regimes. In addition, we also show that the magnitude of the decoherence involved in the WM and QMR can be a general complex number, which extends the applicable scope of the WM and QMR approach.

Effect of parity–time symmetry operation on entanglement distribution in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains

Wang Qiong, Li-Zheng Cheng, Zhi He

Abstract The effect of the parity–time ( PT ) symmetry operation on the entanglement transfer in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains is investigated. We give two schemes, i.e. pre- and post- PT symmetric operations, to demonstrate the performance of the PT symmetric operation on the entanglement dynamics of two qubits. In our investigation, we find that the effect of pre- PT symmetric operation schemes on the protection of entanglement of two qubits in the case of double spin chains is superior to that of the single spin chain case. Conversely, the effect of the post- PT symmetric operation scheme on the protection of entanglement of two qubits in the single spin chain case is better than that in the double spin chain case.

Enhancement of parameter-estimation precision by weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal under various non-Markovian decoherence sources

Qiong Wang, Lan Xu, Zhi He

Abstract We investigate the effect of the weak measurement (WM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR) on the improvement of the precision of parameter estimation for a qubit interacting with various non-Markovian decoherence sources: amplitude damping, dephasing damping and random unitary damping, respectively. We derive the exact expressions of the optimal quantum Fisher information, show explicitly that the WM and QMR operation indeed helps for enhancing the precision of parameter estimation from amplitude damping and phase damping, but not for random unitary damping. In particular, we found that the enhancement effect is independent of the specific form of the spectral density of the reservoir, which extends the applicable scope of the WM and QMR approach.

ANISOTROPY AND MAGNETIC FIELD EFFECTS ON THE ENTANGLEMENT TRANSFER IN TWO PARALLEL HEISENBERG SPIN CHAINS

Zhao-Ming Wang, Bin Shao, Jian Zou

We investigate the entanglement transfer in two parallel spin chains by anisotropic Heisenberg XY interaction in an external magnetic field. The perfect entanglement transfer condition is obtained. We find that perfect entanglement transfer can be realized from one spin pair to another spin pair at certain times by adjusting the magnetic field strength and the anisotropy parameter, which suggests its potential usefulness in quantum information process.
