Abstract

Based on the neat ⟨η| representation of the two-mode squeezing operator which entangles signal-mode and idle-mode, where ⟨η| is the common eigenvector of the relative position of two particles and the total momentum exhibiting a maximal entanglement between the two modes, we study some kind of squeezing mixing 1-3 modes and 2-4 modes for a pair of two-mode (1-2 modes and 3-4 modes) squeezed states. The explicit form of such mixed squeezed states is derived and the new entanglement is analysed.

Multipartite entangled state representation and squeezing of then-pair entangled state

Junhua Chen, Hong-Yi Fan, Gang Ren

We show that the best way to study the relationship between quantum entanglement and quantum squeezing for the multimode case is through constructing the new n -pair entangled state representation . The explicit form of the 2 n -mode squeezing operator which squeezes the n -pair entangled state can be directly derived via the transition from to where M is an n × n complex matrix, and the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators. We also analyze the squeezing properties of the 2 n -mode squeezed state for M being Hermitian, and obtain the variances of the 2 n -mode quadrature operators in the 2 n -mode squeezed vacuum state with a concise result; the condition for reaching the minimum of the uncertainty relationship is also investigated.

New Entangled State Representation and Its Property

Jian-ming Du

In this paper,we give the explicit form of the common eigenvectors |η〉 of 2-1 and 1-2 by the use of the integration within an ordered product(IWOP) technique, and the Schmidt decomposition of |η〉 is also given. In addition,we derive another entangled state |ξ〉 which is the conjugate state of |η〉,the inner product 〈ξ|η〉 is also calculated. Finally, the new two-mode squeezing operator S2=μ∫d2η π|μη〉〈η| is constructed and the squeezed property is analyzed simultaneously.

One-Sided Squeezing for Two Special Kinds of Tripartite Entangled States

FANHong-Yi, GUIWei-Jun

Based on two mutual conjugate tripartite entangled states |η, σ〉θ and |ζ, τ〉θ we generalize the two-mode one-sided squeezing operators to three-mode case. We derive how the tripartite entangled states transform under the three-mode squeezing operators. We conclude that the entangled state representations provide a convenient basis for deriving various three-mode squeezing operators.

The squeezing entangled state of two particles with unequal mass

Yang Yang, Hong-Yi Fan

For two unequal-mass particles, we construct the entangled state representation and then derive the corresponding squeezing operator. This squeezing operator has a natural realization in the entangled state representation, which exhibits the intrinsic relation between squeezing and quantum entanglement. This squeezing operator involves both two-mode squeezing and the direct product of two single-mode squeezings. The maximum squeezing occurs when the two particles possess equal mass. When the two particles' mass difference becomes large, the component of the two single-mode squeezings becomes dominant.

Wavefunctions of two-mode states in entangled-state representation

Hong-Yi Fan, Alfred Wünsche

Two-mode entangled-state wavefunctions and with complex variables z and y are introduced and investigated. They are direct analogues of the wavefunctions and in the single-mode case or are linearly related to each other by two-dimensional Fourier transformation. The states and are eigenstates of two pairs of commuting operators ( Z , Z † ) (or ( Q + , P − )) and ( Y , Y † ) (or ( P + , Q − )) to eigenvalues ( z , z * ) and ( y , y * ), respectively, and are normalized by means of the two-dimensional delta function. The entangled states and are represented as two limiting cases of two-mode squeezed coherent states. Different representations of these states, in particular, the analogue of the Agarwal–Simon representation of squeezed vacuum states, are derived and the properties of these states are discussed. The transition from the single-mode to the two-mode case is made using the common property of the squeezing operators to belong to different realizations of the abstract SU (1,1) group. The Wigner quasiprobability in representation of the states and is discussed and is explicitly calculated for two-mode squeezed vacuum (and squeezed coherent) states.
