Bose-Einstein condensation in a loffe-Pritchard trap

U. Ernst, Andreas Marte, Florian Schreck +2 more

Since its first observation in 1995,1 Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) experiments in dilute gases have been performed with only a few different kinds of magnetic traps. In addition, the effect of the confining potential on, e.g., the condensation process,2 has not been investigated experimentally. We have performed a BEC experiment with 87Rb atoms in a Ioffe-Pritchard magnetic potential,3 which opens up the possibility to study, e.g., Bose–Einstein condensates released in only one dimension.

On ground state of fractional spinor Bose Einstein condensates

Daomin Cao, Jinchun He, Haoyuan Xu +1 more

In this paper, we prove the existence of the positive ground state solution to fractional spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensation(BEC) in one dimension.
