Quantum Theory of Laser with a Fabry-Perot Resonator II

Masahiko HIROOKA, Sigenobu Sunakawa

A microscopic theory of laser has been presented by taking into consideration of the frequency pulling effect, when the laser light is enclosed in a Fabry-Perot resonator. On the basis of the microscopic theory, the validity of the average-field theory developed in the preceding paper has been discussed.

Quantum Theory of Laser with a Fabry-Perot Resonator I

Masahiko HIROOKA, Sigenobu Sunakawa

The semi-classical theory of laser has been reformulated on the basis of the Hartree average-field method. It is assumed that the light field is enclosed in a Fabry-Perot resonator and forms a standing wave in the cavity. The frequency pulling effect also has been taken into consideration.
