Abstract

In this article, we study the effects of the atomic motion and the field-mode structure on the entropies and entanglement of a generalized JC model. We have investigated different forms of the intensity dependent function on the evolution of the entropies and entanglement in the case of a coherent superposition state and a statistical mixture of coherent states as the initial field states. We investigate the partial entropies of the atom and field subsystems numerically. The setting of the initial state of the field-mode and the atomic motion plays an important role in the evolution of the sub-entropies and entanglement.

SUB-ENTROPIES AND PHASE PROPERTIES UNDERGOING THE EFFECTS OF ATOMIC MOTION FOR THE JAYNES–CUMMINGS MODEL WITH INITIAL MIXED STATE INPUT

An analytical method to calculate the sub-entropies and entanglement for the mixed state as an initial field is presented. Also, we investigate the effects of the atomic motion and the field-mode structure on sub-entropies and phase properties of the coherent superposition state and a statistical mixture of coherent states as initial field states taking into account different forms of the intensity-dependent coupling. The initial state, the atomic motion and the field-mode structure play important roles in the time evolution of the entropies, entanglement and phase properties.

A treatment of the quantum partial entropies in the atom-field interaction with a class of Schrodinger cat states

A.‐S. F. Obada, H. A. Hessian, Mahmoud Abdel‐Aty

This communication is an enquiry into the circumstances under which entropy and subentropy methods can give an answer to the question of quantum entanglement in the composite state. Using a general quantum dynamical system we obtain the analytical solution when the atom initially starts from its excited state and the field in different initial states. Different features of the entanglement are investigated when the field is initially assumed to be in a coherent state, an even coherent state (Schrodinger cate state) and a statistical mixture of coherent states. Our results show that the setting of the initial state and the Stark shift play important role in the evolution of the sub-entropies and entanglement.

INFLUENCE OF SUPERPOSITION OF COHERENT STATES OF LIGHT ON THE EVOLUTION OF THE FIELD ENTROPY AND ENTANGLEMENT IN THE INTENSITY-DEPENDENT JCM

A.‐S. F. Obada, H. A. Hessian

We investigate the influence of superposition of coherent states of light on population inversion and the evolution of the field entropy for two-level atoms in the framework of the Jaynes–Cummings model. We compare the behavior of the system in the case of having a coherent superposition state and a statistical mixture of coherent states as an initial field. Our results show that the superposition of coherent states plays an important role in the evolution of the field entropy in the intensity-dependent Jaynes–Cummings model (JCM).

Influence of phase damping on the entanglement for the damped JC model in the pure and mixed states

A.‐S. F. Obada, H. A. Hessian, A.‐B. A. Mohamed

In this article, we investigate the effects of phase damping on the temporal evolution of different entanglement measurements and the amount of entanglement for the damped Jaynes-Cummings model. The master equation is solved for any initial state in the two-level atom. Superpositions of two coherent states (π/2 or π out of phase) and their statistical mixture state are taken as initial states when a phase-damped cavity is taken into account.

Evolution of field entropy and entanglement in the intensity-dependent two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model

Gao Yun-feng, Jian Feng, Ji‐Suo Wang

The evolution of the entanglement degree of two-mode fields and atom with the intensity-dependent coupling is investigated using von Neumann entropy. The results for the initial fields in both coherent states and two-mode squeezed vacuum state are calculated. The influence of the field intensity on the entropy is discussed. It is found that the field and atom are generally in maximum entanglement but subject to periodic pulsed disentanglement completely under the condition of strong initial field.
