Abstract

We discuss the effects of the initial atomic coherent factors (including the phase and the distribution parameter) and the dipole-dipole interaction on the sum and two-atom dipole squeezing in the system. The results show that the maximum squeezing in both cases is determined by the phase and the distribution parameter, and the duration of squeezing becomes longer by strengthening the dipole-dipole interaction. In addition, the comparison of the two types of squeezing shows that one type of squeezing is obtained at the expense of increased fluctuations in the other squeezing function.

Atomic dipole squeezing in the system of atoms interacting with weak coherent cavities fields

WU Ya-nv

We study atomic dipole squeezing of the system comprising three two-level atoms resonantly interacting with three coupled cavities which are in weak coherent states initially. The atomic dipole squeezing is investigated. The influences of coupling constant between cavities and intensity of the cavity field on atomic dipole squeezing are discussed. The results obtained using the numerical method show that atomic dipole squeezing is weakened with the increase of the coupling constant between the cavities. On the other hand, atomic dipole squeezing is strengthened with increase of intensity of the cavity field.

Atomic dipole squeezing in the system of light field interacting with the V-type three-level atom via intensity-dependent coupling

Fang Jia-Yuan

The time evolution of atomic dipole squeezing in the intensity-dependent coupling interaction between squeezing vacuum state and V-type three-level atom is studied using the quantum theory. The effects of the squeezing degree r of initial field and the coupling constant g are discussed by the method of the numerical calculations. The result shows that when r increases, the times of atomic dipole squeezing decrease gradually and vanish with the time evolution, but the maximum of degree has no evident change;the times of atomic dipole squeezing increase, while the duration is shortened with the increase of g.

Atomic Dipole Squeezing Properties of Λ-type Three-level At om Interacting with Single-mode Coherent Field

Qingchun Zhou

By using the full quantum theory, the time evolution of atomic dipole squeezing parameters of a Λ-type three-level atom interacting with a single-mode coherent cavity field is investigated. The influence of the initial coherent-field intensity, the initial atomic coherence, the initial populations on the two lower atomic levels and their energy splitting on the atomic dipole squeezing are studied. Results show that the amount of dipole squeezing increases while the duration of dipole squeezing decreases with increasing initial field intensity. In the case of degenerate lower atomic states maximum dipole squeezing is reached when the two states have equal initial phases and equal populations.Exchange of initial populations in the lower atomic states does not influence time evolution of diploe squeezing.Atomic energy level splitting is helpful to dipole squeezing generation under certain conditions.

In this paper, the atomic dipole squeezing in the non-resonance system of single-model squeezed vacuum field interacting with two coupling atoms via intensity-dependent coupling in Kerr medium are investigated.By using the numerical method, the relations between the atomic dipole squeezing and the coupling parameter of the system are discussed. The results show that the atomic dipole squeezing depend on the Kerr effect, the detuning, the dipole-dipole interaction between atoms, the initial squeezed parameter of the light and the atomic initial state.
