Abstract

Starting from famous Schrodinger equation within the framework of semi-classical theory of light-matter interaction,we firstly obtain the analytical non-resonant solutions of the driven bipartite system’s entanglement dynamics in independent and coherent double pathways.Numerical simulations show that under non-resonant condition, entanglement sudden death and revival between these transition patterns behave quite differently, indicating the utmost importance of transition pathways’ interference.Furthermore, the laser pulse’s area and detuning exert significant but quite distinct influences on the entanglement dynamics. Our analyses are helpful in manipulating entanglement in current experimental technology.

Coherent and Ultrafast Manipulation of Entanglement Sudden Death and Revival

Xiangyang Yu, Jianhong Li

Within the framework of semi-classical theory of light and matter, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of the bipartite system consisting of two identical and interacting two-level atoms in QED by use of concurrence, which are driven by coherent double ultra-short laser pulses divided by diverse phase differences. Results show that under different detuning, the phase difference can exert significant influence on the entanglement evolution, such as delaying or accelerating entanglement sudden death (ESB) and revival (ESR). Furthermore, with the increment of detuning, ESD and ESR disappear irrespective of various phase differences.

Coherent and ultrafast manipulation of entanglement sudden death and recurrence

Xiangyang Yu, Jianhong Li

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of the bipartite system, consisting of two interacting two-level atoms in QED, which are driven additionally by coherent double ultrashort laser pulses characterized by various phase differences. Results show that the relative phase difference can exert significant influence on the entanglement evolution, such as delaying or accelerating entanglement sudden death and recurrence (ESD and ESR). Furthermore, with the increase of detuning, ESD and ESR disappear, irrespective of various phase differences. Our analysis is helpful in manipulating entanglement.

Entanglement Dynamics of the Bipartite System in Common Reservoir

Xiangyang Yu, Jianhong Li

Within the framework of semi-classical theory of light and matter, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of the bipartite system consisting of two identical and interacting two-level atoms by means of concurrence, which are coupled to the common reservoir and driven by external time-dependent laser field. Numerical results reveal that for these initially entangled states, the bipartite system undergoes entanglement sudden death (ESD) and birth (ESB), and stable entanglement always occur irrespective of dissipation. Besides, the coupling strength of the electric dipole-dipole will have remarkable effects on the entanglement dynamics, like accelerating the ESD and ESB. However, these conclusions are not applicable to other initially entangled states.

Atomic entanglement sudden death in a strongly driven cavity QED system

Ying-Jie Zhang, Zhong‐Xiao Man, Yun‐Jie Xia

We study the entanglement dynamics of strongly driven atoms off-resonantly coupled with cavity fields. We consider conditions characterized not only by the atom-field coupling but also by the atom-field detuning. By studying two different models within the framework of cavity QED, we show that the so-called atomic entanglement sudden death (ESD) always occurs if the atom-field coupling lager than the atom-field detuning, and is independent of the type of initial atomic state.

Non-Markovian dynamics of entanglement for multipartite systems

Jiang Zhou, Chengjun Wu, Mingyi Zhu +1 more

Entanglement dynamics for a couple of two-level atoms interacting with independent structured reservoirs is studied using a non-perturbative approach. It is shown that the revival of atom entanglement is not necessarily accompanied by the sudden death of reservoir entanglement, and vice versa. In fact, atom entanglement can revive before, simultaneously or even after the disentanglement of reservoirs. Using a novel method based on the population analysis for the excited atomic state, we present the quantitative criteria for the revival and death phenomena. To give a more physically intuitive insight, the quasimode Hamiltonian method is applied. Our quantitative analysis is helpful for the practical engineering of entanglement.
