Abstract

Abstract: This publication put the accent on strategical problems in information transmission. The analysis is based on substantially different structure between classical (bit) and quantum information unit (qubit). The scientific methodology used in this publication is relatively new (single qubit transfer based on no-cloning theorem). Important part of publication is devoted to solving problems where quantum information processing offers much more prolific solutions than classical information processing. From practical point of view, the advances of quantum based information technologies have been presented.

UNDAMENTALS OF INFORMATION AND COMPUTATION IN THE REALM OF THE QUANTA

John Henry Reina

Information is a physical. Physical systems register and process information. These facts generated enormus interest in the development of novel quantum tecnologies, especially because the construction of smaller electronic devices ultimately leads to a consideration of quantum mechanical effects in electronic and computer desingns. The notion of the classical bit of information theory was formally pushed into the realm of the quanta with the introduction of the quantum bit or qubit, in the seminal works of Deutsch (Deutsch, 1985) and Shor (Shor, 1994). They demostrated that, indeed, controlled multipartite qubit interference effects could provide the means for a radical new way of computing, allowing the computation of many intractable computational problems, such as the factoring of large number or exact simulation of large quantum systems. The field of experimental and theoretical research in quantum information and computation has emerged as very important player in the understanding of quantum phenomena the both the basic and technological levels. This has attracted the attention of numerous researchers with backgrounds ranging from computer science, mathematics and engineerin, to the physical sciences, and we now have an interdisciplinary field where great efforts are being made in order to build devices that allow the progressing of information at a quantum level. A concise introduction to the field of quantum information and quantum computation is presented. This stars with the bassic definitions of bits, quantum registers, through to the universal gate-set for building the universal quantum computer, from a quantum network model of computation. The work shows how two-qubit gates suffice for quantum computation, emphasing the power of the quantum circuit representation for entagling and disentagling quantum states. This leads to the “no-cloning theorem”, which leads us to many interesting applications, such as quantum cryptography. Two alternative approaches or performing quantum computation are also described i) the one-way or measurement based quantum computer method, and ii) holonomic or geometric quantum computation. Following this, quantum entaglement quantification is highlighted, particulary its usefulness as a communication resource, in order to describe some of its most celebrated practical applications to date: quantum teleportation, cryptography, dens coding, and data compression. Deutsch’s concept of quantum parallelism is enphasized in order to gain insight into the potential for efficiently solving certain classically intratable algorithms. A subject central to the field of QIP- quantum decoherence- is then introduced.. Possible ways to overcome it, in particular quantum error correction, are discussed. A descriptios of some of the currently available hardware of the practical implementation of quantum computation is provided with a discussion of the main physical quantum bits that are currently employed (or proposed) for a such a purpose.

Analysis of Quantum Signals in Cryogenic and Non-cryogenic Environments

Mariam Janelidze

The study of quantum signals is one of the fundamental and strategic directions of telecommunications and engineering sciences, as it is directly related to the in-depth understanding of the laws of matter and energy at the microscopic level and the transition to a new stage of telecommunications systems, as well as the formation of new principles of information transmission and processing and the development of technological innovations. A quantum signal, as a physical object carrying a quantum state, be it a photon, an electron, a qubit localized in a superconducting circuit, or an atomic spin system, contains information encoded through superposition and quantum entanglement. It is thanks to these properties that it becomes possible to perform tasks that are either practically inaccessible or extremely resource-intensive within the framework of classical physics. For example, computational models based on the principles of quantum mechanics provide the basis for quantum systems, which potentially radically change the speed and efficiency of data processing, while quantum communication provides fundamentally secure channels for information transmission, which is especially important in light of modern cybersecurity challenges. Comparative studies of quantum signals in cryogenic and non-cryogenic environments provide important theoretical results.

Quantum Computing: Principles, Applications and Future Scope

Narendhiran R, Dharani prasath.R, Mrs. K. Gowri

ABSTRACT Quantum computing represents a fundamental shift in the way computational problems are approached and solved. Unlike classical computing systems that rely on binary bits to process information, quantum computing utilizes quantum bits, or qubits, which exploit principles of quantum mechanics such as superposition and entanglement. This transition from classical bits to qubits has opened new possibilities for solving complex problems that are computationally infeasible for traditional systems. This paper explores the evolution of computing paradigms from classical architectures to quantum-based models, highlighting the theoretical foundations and technological advancements that have driven this transformation. It discusses the core concepts of quantum computing, including qubit representation, quantum gates, and computational models, along with an overview of current quantum hardware architectures. Furthermore, the paper examines key application areas such as cryptography, optimization, artificial intelligence, and scientific simulations, where quantum computing demonstrates significant potential. Despite its promise, quantum computing faces substantial challenges related to hardware stability, error correction, scalability, and resource requirements, which are also analyzed. Finally, the paper outlines future research directions and the potential impact of quantum computing on next-generation information processing systems, emphasizing its role in redefining the boundaries of modern computation. Quantum Technologies for Information Processing

Jordi Tura i Brugués

English: Since its genesis, quantum mechanics has proved to be a very accurate model for predicting the behavior of the world below the nanoscale. However, crucial breakthroughs in technology were needed in order to be able to effectively access and manipulate such small magnitudes. During the last twenty years, the field of quantum information processing has experienced a growing interest, in its many variants, both theoretically and practically. Despite being still at a very basic stage, expectations are high. The uniqueness of quantum phenomena (superposition of states, creation of entanglement, etc.) have no classical analogue and allow novelties such as another paradigm of computation, more secure communications, quantum teleportation, quantum dense coding, etc. which are presented and analyzed here. The aim of this Thesis is to present in a unified way the main mathematical methods used in quantum information processing, as well as the state of the art of their corresponding technological implementations. Our contributions are based in making a self-contained presentation; seeking completeness, that is, treating the most relevant fields of research involved, focusing on their relations; and picking the most relevant, insightful references, given the quantity of literature produced in this field. We also discuss some of the fundamental questions that remain still unanswered, and which are the current lines of research to shed light on them.

Mathematical Analysis of Quantum Superdense Coding Based on Entangled States

Petro A. Kravets

The aim of the research is the mathematical analysis of quantum superdense coding based on quantum entanglement to increase the efficiency and reliability of information transmission in quantum communication systems. The essence of quantum superdense coding is the ability to transmit two classical bits of information using one qubit, which is part of an entangled pair. The fundamental principles of the superdense quantum coding method are considered. The relevance of the research in the context of the development of secure quantum communications and optimization of information transmission in quantum networks is substantiated. A review of modern scientific publications devoted to the theoretical principles of superdense coding is conducted, which indicate the development potential and practical prospects of this direction of quantum informatics. The analysis of mathematical modeling of quantum superdense encoding and decoding is performed using two alternative approaches – projective measurement in the Bell basis and the inverse Bell transform. It is shown that both approaches allow for the complete recovery of classical information transmitted using entangled quantum states. The advantage of the inverse Bell transform is the simplicity of implementation on quantum devices, the flexibility and accuracy of information processing, and the possibility of scaling, which makes it a reasonable choice in many practical applications. The influence of noise and decoherence on the efficiency of superdense coding has been studied, which is a critical factor in the practical implementation of this method in real quantum systems. A mathematical model of data transmission through a quantum channel under the action of additive white noise has been constructed. An analytical dependence of the probability of correct information recovery on the noise level has been established, which allows us to estimate the limits of reliability of superdense coding in noisy environments. Based on the research, the prospects for the practical application of superdense coding in quantum communication networks, in particular the quantum Internet, as well as in quantum computing and information security systems, have been outlined. The results obtained contribute to the further development of quantum technologies and can be used to create new protocols for highly efficient quantum data transmission.
