Two-Mode Wigner Operator in <η| Representation

Wu He-jun, Hong-Yi Fan

We derive the <η| representation of two-mode Wigner operator, where the <η| state is the common eigenstate of two particles' relative position and total momentum. By virtue of this representation we can conveniently obtain Wigner functions of some two-mode states and the Weyl correspondence functions of two-mode unitary phase operators.

Fock representation for two-mode quantum phase operators' eigenstates

Hong-Yi Fan, Min Xiao

The quantum phase description of Noh, Fougères and Mandel (NFM) leads to a two-mode theory of phase in the strong local oscillator limit. We show that the explicit form of the eigenstates of the sine and the cosine phase operators in two-mode Fock space can be constructed. This brings great convenience to the NFM quantum phase approach.

Representations of two-mode squeezing transformations

Fan Hong-Yi, Fan Yue

We derive natural representations for two-mode squeezing operators. By natural we mean that the representations are composed by the eigenvectors of either one of the two two-mode quadrature operators for squeezing. The technique of integration within an ordered product of operators provides us with a convenient method of derivation. \textcopyright{} 1996 The American Physical Society.
