Abstract

Long-Time Dynamical Behaviour of Alternative-Current Stark Effect

Wu Wen-Guo, Jingbiao Chen

We report the long time dynamical behaviour of ac Stark effect in a simple quantum model in which two level atoms interact with quantized coherent radiation field. A new phenomenon of periodic quantum collapse and revival of the ac Stark shift of energy level due to ac Stark effect is expressed accurately by analysing the phase of transition probability amplitude. The analytic prediction is confirmed by the numerical results.

The Response-Centered View of Physical Reality: From Particles, Observers, and Probabilities to Configuration and Vacuum Response

JOHN DELATORRE

Conventional field theories typically treat particles or localized fields as primary objects endowedwith intrinsic properties, while the vacuum serves as a passive arena for their interactions. This paper formalizes an alternative ontological ordering, here called the Vacuum-ResponseOntology, motivated by ongoing work in the Primeon Framework but stated and defended onits own philosophical terms. Rather than defining an isolated object by internal attributes, physical observables such as mass and charge are formulated through the response generatedby a localized configuration and transmitted via surrounding field structures. We argue for theanalytical importance of distinguishing between internal symmetry currents, effective responsesources, and far-field observables. We further distinguish this response-centered ontology fromtwo influential twentieth-century descriptive emphases: the probability-centered organization ofquantum prediction and the frame-centered organization of special relativity. The proposal doesnot replace either formalism; it places physical configuration and vacuum response conceptuallyupstream of measurement statistics and observer-dependent descriptions.
