The development of quantum computation has resulted in many quantum algorithms for a wide array of tasks. Recently, there is a growing interest in using quantum computing techniques to estimate or compute quantum information-theoretic quantities such as Renyi entropy, Von Neumann entropy, matrix means, etc. Motivated by these results, we present quantum algorithms for computing the maximal quantum
f-divergences and the operator-theoretic matrix Kubo--Ando means. Both of them involve Renyi entropies, matrix means as special cases, thus implying the universality of our framework.
Quantum computation and quantum information is an emerging cross-disciplinary research field and includes some subjects, such as physics, computer sciences, mathematics and information sciences and so on.By employing quantum information theory,we present an adaptive mean filter program based on quantum mechanics. In the proposed mean filter, the moved window image pixels are denoted by quantum superposition states. With the action of measurement operators generated by the characteristics of pixels on the image window to adjust the weights of the mean operator window, then the filter based on quantum mechanics is proposed.Computer simulation shows that the proposed mean filter is more effective than the traditional one.
Abstract We consider simulation of the high spins on a quantum computer. The protocols which allow one to measure the mean value of spin and correlations between spins are proposed. As a result, we determine the time dependence of the mean values of spin-1 in the magnetic field prepared on the ibmq-santiago quantum computer. In addition, we study the evolution of two interacting spins on the ibmq-lima quantum computer. The time-dependencies of the mean value of spin-1 and correlations between these spins are detected. Finally, we generalize these protocols for the spins of arbitrary values.
