Abstract

We study a mixed quantum Ising-$XY$ model on the semi-infinite rooted Cayley tree of order two. For every vertex $u$, the edge $\langle u,(u,1)\rangle$ carries an $XY$ interaction and the edge $\langle u,(u,2)\rangle$ carries an Ising interaction. Using the compatibility criterion for tree-indexed quantum Markov chains and consistently working with the normalized trace, we derive the translation-invariant boundary equation and compute explicitly the associated local transfer operator, namely the one-step partial-trace map which propagates successor boundary data to the parent vertex. We prove that the boundary equation has a unique positive translation-invariant solution for all $J_I,J_{XY}\in\mathbb R$ and $β>0$. Hence the model admits a unique translation-invariant quantum Markov chain generated by a positive translation-invariant boundary condition. We also show that the reduced boundary-law dynamics, i.e. the induced finite-dimensional recursion for the boundary-law parameters, has no admissible periodic points of period greater than one and compute the local two-site entanglement on the natural three-site cluster of the tree.

On Translation Invariant Quantum Markov Chains associated with Ising-XY models on a Cayley tree

Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Abdessatar Barhoumi, Abdessatar Souissi +1 more

In this paper, we consider the Ising-XY model with competing interactions on the Cayley tree of order two. This model can be seen as a non-commutative (i.e. J - XY -interactions on next-neighbor vertices) perturbation of the classical Ising model on the Cayley tree. For the considered model we establish the existence of three translation-invariant quantum Markov chains. We notice that if the XY -interactions vanish, i.e. J = 0, then one gets the Ising model. If the classical Ising model vanishes in the considered model, then we obtain XY -model for which it turns out there exists only one translation invariant QMC.

ON QUANTUM MARKOV CHAINS ON CAYLEY TREE I: UNIQUENESS OF THE ASSOCIATED CHAIN WITH XY-MODEL ON THE CAYLEY TREE OF ORDER TWO

Luigi Accardi, Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Mansoor Khajibaevich Saburov

In this paper we study forward quantum Markov chains (QMC) defined on Cayley tree. A construction of such QMC is provided, namely we construct states on finite volumes with boundary conditions, and define QMC as a weak limit of those states which depends on the boundary conditions. Using the provided construction, we investigate QMC associated with XY-model on a Cayley tree of order two. We prove uniqueness of QMC associated with such a model, this means the QMC does not depend on the boundary conditions.

Uniqueness of Quantum Markov Chain Associated with XY-Ising Model on Cayley Tree of Order Two

In this paper, we consider backward and forward Quantum Markov Chains (QMC) associated with XY -Ising model on the Cayley tree of order two. We construct finite volume states with boundary conditions, and define QMC as a weak limit of those states which depend on the boundary conditions. We prove that the limit state is a unique QMC associated with such a model, this means the QMC does not depend on the boundary conditions. Moreover, we observe the relation between backward and forward QMC.

Uniqueness of quantum Markov chains associated with an XY-model on a cayley tree of order 2

Luigi Accardi, Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Mansoor Khajibaevich Saburov

We propose the construction of a quantum Markov chain that corresponds to a “forward” quantum Markov chain. In the given construction, the quantum Markov chain is defined as the limit of finite-dimensional states depending on the boundary conditions. A similar construction is widely used in the definition of Gibbs states in classical statistical mechanics. Using this construction, we study the quantum Markov chain associated with an XY -model on a Cayley tree. For this model, within the framework of the given construction, we prove the uniqueness of the quantum Markov chain, i.e., we show that the state is independent of the boundary conditions.

QUANTUM MARKOV CHAINS AND ISING MODEL ON CAYLEY TREE

Luigi Accardi, Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Mansoor Khajibaevich Saburov

In the present paper wes tudy forward Quantum Markov Chains (QMC)associated with Ising model on Cayley tree of order k. Using the tree structure of graphs, we give a construction of Quantum Markov Chains on a Cayley tree. By means of such construction we prove the existance of a phase transition for the Ising model on a Cayley tree of order k in QMC scheme. By the phase transition we mean the existance of two not quasi equivelant QMC for the given family of interaction operators.

A quantum Markov chain approach to phase transitions for quantum Ising model with competing XY-interactions on a Cayley tree

Farrukh Mukhamedov, Abdessatar Barhoumi, Abdessatar Souissi +1 more

The main aim of the present paper by means of the quantum Markov chain (QMC) approach is to establish the existence of a phase transition for the quantum Ising model with competing XY interaction. In this scheme, the C*-algebraic approach is employed to the phase transition problem. Note that these kinds of models do not have one-dimensional analogs, i.e., the considered model persists only on trees. It turns out that if the Ising part interactions vanish, then the model with only competing XY-interactions on the Cayley tree of order two does not have a phase transition. By phase transition, we mean the existence of two distinct QMCs that are not quasi-equivalent and their supports do not overlap. Moreover, it is also shown that the QMC associated with the model has a clustering property, which implies that the von Neumann algebras corresponding to the states are factors.

We study a mixed quantum Ising-XYXYXY model on the semi-infinite rooted Cayley tree of order two. For every vertex uuu, the edge ⟨u,(u,1)⟩\langle u,(u,1)\rangle⟨u,(u,1)⟩ carries an XYXYXY interaction and the edge ⟨u,(u,2)⟩\langle u,(u,2)\rangle⟨u,(u,2)⟩ carries an Ising interaction. We prove that the boundary equation has a unique positive translation-invariant solution for all JI,JXY∈RJ_I,J_{XY}\in\mathbb RJI,JXY∈R and β>0β>0β>0. We also show that the reduced boundary-law dynamics, i.e. the induced finite-dimensional recursion for the boundary-law parameters, has no admissible periodic points of period greater than one and compute the local two-site entanglement on the natural three-site cluster of the tree.
