Abstract

We present a description of the classical elliptic $${\rm BC}_1$$ Ruijsenaars–van Diejen model with eight independent coupling constants through a pair of $${\rm BC}_1$$ type classical Sklyanin algebras generated by the (classical) quadratic reflection equation with non-dynamical $$XYZ$$ $$r$$ -matrix. For this purpose, we consider the classical version of the $$L$$ -operator for the Ruijsenaars–van Diejen model proposed by O. Chalykh. In the $${\rm BC}_1$$ case, it is factorized into the product of two Lax matrices depending on four constants. Then we apply an IRF-Vertex type gauge transformation and obtain a product of the Lax matrices for the Zhukovsky–Volterra gyrostats. Each of them is described by the $${\rm BC}_1$$ version of the classical Sklyanin algebra. In particular case, when four pairs of constants coincide, the $${\rm BC}_1$$ Ruijsenaars–van Diejen model exactly coincides with the relativistic Zhukovsky–Volterra gyrostat. Explicit change of variables is obtained. We also consider another special case of the $${\rm BC}_1$$ Ruijsenaars–van Diejen model with seven independent constants. We show that it can be reproduced by considering the transfer matrix of the classical $$1$$ -site $$XYZ$$ chain with boundaries. In the end of the paper, using another gauge transformation, we represent Chalykh’s Lax matrix in a form depending on Sklyanin’s generators.

Lax equations for relativistic G L ( N M , C ) Gaudin models on elliptic curve

Elizaveta Sergeevna Trunina, Andrei Vladimirovich Zotov

Abstract We describe the most general GL NM classical elliptic finite-dimensional integrable system, which Lax matrix has n simple poles on elliptic curve. For M = 1 it reproduces the classical inhomogeneous spin chain, for N = 1 it is the Gaudin type (multispin) extension of the spin Ruijsenaars–Schneider model, and for n = 1 the model of M interacting relativistic GL N tops emerges in some particular case. In this way we present a classification for relativistic Gaudin models on GL-bundles over elliptic curve. As a by-product we describe the inhomogeneous Ruijsenaars chain. We show that this model can be considered as a particular case of multispin Ruijsenaars–Schneider model when residues of the Lax matrix are of rank one. An explicit parametrization of the classical spin variables through the canonical variables is obtained for this model. Finally, the most general GL NM model is also described through R -matrices satisfying associative Yang–Baxter equation. This description provides the trigonometric and rational analogues of GL NM models.

Relativistic classical integrable tops and quantum R-matrices

Andrei Mikhailovich Levin, Mikhail Aronovich Olshanetsky, Andrei Vladimirovich Zotov

We describe classical top-like integrable systems arising from the quantum exchange relations and corresponding Sklyanin algebras. The Lax operator is expressed in terms of the quantum non-dynamical R-matrix even at the classical level, where the Planck constant plays the role of the relativistic deformation parameter in the sense of Ruijsenaars and Schneider (RS). The integrable systems (relativistic tops) are described as multidimensional Euler tops, and the inertia tensors are written in terms of the quantum and classical R-matrices. A particular case of gl N system is gauge equivalent to the N-particle RS model while a generic top is related to the spin generalization of the RS model. The simple relation between quantum R-matrices and classical Lax operators is exploited in two ways. In the elliptic case we use the Belavin’s quantum R-matrix to describe the relativistic classical tops. Also by the passage to the noncommutative torus we study the large N limit corresponding to the relativistic version of the nonlocal 2d elliptic hydrodynamics. Conversely, in the rational case we obtain a new gl N quantum rational non-dynamical R-matrix via the relativistic top, which we get in a different way — using the factorized form of the RS Lax operator and the classical Symplectic Hecke (gauge) transformation. In particular case of gl2 the quantum rational R-matrix is 11-vertex. It was previously found by Cherednik. At last, we describe the integrable spin chains and Gaudin models related to the obtained R-matrix.

Elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider and Calogero-Moser Models Represented by Sklyanin Algebra andsl(n) Gaudin Algebra

Kai Chen, Heng Fan, Bo-Yu Hou +3 more

The relationship between Elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider (RS) and Calogero-Moser (CM) models with Sklyanin algebra is presented. Lax pair representations of the Elliptic RS and CM are reviewed. For n=2 case, the eigenvalue and eigenfunction for Lame equation are found by using the result of the Bethe ansatz method.

The nondynamical r-matrix structure of the elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider model with N=2

Bo-Yu Hou, Wen‐Li Yang

We demonstrate that in a certain gauge the elliptic Ruijsenaars-Shneider model with N=2 admits a nondynamical r-matrix structure and the corresponding classical r-matrix is the same as that of its non-relativistic counterpart (Calogero-Moser model) in the same gauge. The relation between our (classical)Lax operator and the Lax operator given by Ruijsenaars is also obtained.

From Hamiltonian to zero curvature formulation for classical integrable boundary conditions

Jean Avan, Vincent Caudrelier, Nicolas Crampé

Abstract We reconcile the Hamiltonian formalism and the zero curvature representation in the approach to integrable boundary conditions for a classical integrable system in 1 + 1 space-time dimensions. We start from an ultralocal Poisson algebra involving a Lax matrix and two (dynamical) boundary matrices. Sklyanin’s formula for the double-row transfer matrix is used to derive Hamilton’s equations of motion for both the Lax matrix and the boundary matrices in the form of zero curvature equations. A key ingredient of the method is a boundary version of the Semenov-Tian-Shansky formula for the generating function of the time-part of a Lax pair. The procedure is illustrated on the finite Toda chain for which we derive Lax pairs of size for previously known Hamiltonians of type BC N and D N corresponding to constant and dynamical boundary matrices respectively.

The eight-vertex model with quasi-periodic boundary conditions

Giuliano Niccoli, V. Terras

Abstract We study the inhomogeneous eight-vertex model (or equivalently the XYZ Heisenberg spin-1/2 chain) with all kinds of integrable quasi-periodic boundary conditions: periodic, -twisted, -twisted or -twisted. We show that in all these cases but the periodic one with an even number of sites , the transfer matrix of the model is related, by the vertex-IRF transformation, to the transfer matrix of the dynamical six-vertex model with antiperiodic boundary conditions, which we have recently solved by means of Sklyanin’s separation of variables approach. We show moreover that, in all the twisted cases, the vertex-IRF transformation is bijective. This allows us to completely characterize, from our previous results on the antiperiodic dynamical six-vertex model, the twisted eight-vertex transfer matrix spectrum (proving that it is simple) and eigenstates. We also consider the periodic case for odd. In this case we can define two independent vertex-IRF transformations, both not bijective, and by using them we show that the eight-vertex transfer matrix spectrum is doubly degenerate, and that it can, as well as the corresponding eigenstates, also be completely characterized in terms of the spectrum and eigenstates of the dynamical six-vertex antiperiodic transfer matrix. In all these cases we can adapt to the eight-vertex case the reformulations of the dynamical six-vertex transfer matrix spectrum and eigenstates that had been obtained by T – Q functional equations, where the Q -functions are elliptic polynomials with twist-dependent quasi-periods. Such reformulations enable one to characterize the eight-vertex transfer matrix spectrum by the solutions of some Bethe-type equations, and to rewrite the corresponding eigenstates as the multiple action of some operators on a pseudo-vacuum state, in a similar way as in the algebraic Bethe ansatz framework.
