Local Properties of the Rapidity Distribution in the Lieb-Liniger Model

Abstract

We study the rapidity distribution in the Lieb-Liniger model and derive exact relations for its derivatives at the Fermi level. The latter enables us to treat analytically the free energy of the system at low temperatures and arbitrary interactions. We calculated the leading-order correction to the well-known result obtained using conformal field theory. In contrast to the leading-order term controlled by the sound velocity or the Luttinger liquid parameter, the new term is controlled by an additional dimensionless parameter. We calculated its series expansions in the limiting cases of weak and strong interactions. Our results are generalized to other Galilean-invariant integrable systems.

Spectrum of Elementary Excitations in Galilean-Invariant Integrable Models

Aleksandra Petković, Zoran Ristivojević

The spectrum of elementary excitations in one-dimensional quantum liquids is generically linear at low momenta. It is characterized by the sound velocity that can be related to the ground-state energy. Here we study the spectrum at higher momenta in Galilean-invariant integrable models. Somewhat surprisingly, we show that the spectrum at arbitrary momentum is fully determined by the properties of the ground state. We find general exact relations for the coefficients of several terms in the expansion of the excitation energy at low momenta and arbitrary interaction and express them in terms of the Luttinger liquid parameter. We apply the obtained formulas to the Lieb-Liniger model and obtain several new results.

Exact Results for the Moments of the Rapidity Distribution in Galilean-Invariant Integrable Models

Zoran Ristivojević

We study a class of Galilean-invariant one-dimensional Bethe ansatz solvable models in the thermodynamic limit. Their rapidity distribution obeys an integral equation with a difference kernel over a finite interval, which does not admit a closed-form solution. We develop a general formalism enabling one to study the moments of the rapidity distribution, showing that they satisfy a difference-differential equation. The derived equation is explicitly analyzed in the case of the Lieb-Liniger model and the moments are analytically calculated. In addition, we obtained the exact information about the ground-state energy at weak repulsion. The obtained results directly enter a number of physically relevant quantities.

Momentum distribution and non-local high order correlation functions of 1D strongly interacting Bose gas

E. J. K. P. Nandani, Xi‐Wen Guan

The Lieb–Liniger model is a prototypical integrable model and has been turned into the benchmark physics in theoretical and numerical investigations of low-dimensional quantum systems. In this note, we present various methods for calculating local and nonlocal M -particle correlation functions, momentum distribution, and static structure factor. In particular, using the Bethe ansatz wave function of the strong coupling Lieb–Liniger model, we analytically calculate the two-point correlation function, the large moment tail of the momentum distribution, and the static structure factor of the model in terms of the fractional statistical parameter α = 1−2/ γ , where γ is the dimensionless interaction strength. We also discuss the Tan’s adiabatic relation and other universal relations for the strongly repulsive Lieb–Liniger model in terms of the fractional statistical parameter.

Ground-state energy and excitation spectrum of the Lieb-Liniger model : accurate analytical results and conjectures about the exact solution

Guillaume Lang, F. W. J. Hekking, Anna Minguzzi

We study the ground-state properties and excitation spectrum of the Lieb-Liniger model, i.e. the one-dimensional Bose gas with repulsive contact interactions. We solve the Bethe-Ansatz equations in the thermodynamic limit by using an analytic method based on a series expansion on orthogonal polynomials developed in and push the expansion to an unprecedented order. By a careful analysis of the mathematical structure of the series expansion, we make a conjecture for the analytic exact result at zero temperature and show that the partially resummed expressions thereby obtained compete with accurate numerical calculations. This allows us to evaluate the density of quasi-momenta, the ground-state energy, the local two-body correlation function and Tan’s contact. Then, we study the two branches of the excitation spectrum. Using a general analysis of their properties and symmetries, we obtain novel analytical expressions at arbitrary interaction strength which are found to be extremely accurate in a wide range of intermediate to strong interactions.

A systematic $1/c$-expansion of form factor sums for dynamical correlations in the Lieb-Liniger model

Etienne Granet, Fabian H. L. Essler

We introduce a framework for calculating dynamical correlations in the Lieb-Liniger model in arbitrary energy eigenstates and for all space and time, that combines a Lehmann representation with a 1/c 1 / c expansion. The n^\mathrm{th} n t h term of the expansion is of order 1/c^n 1 / c n and takes into account all \lfloor \tfrac{n}{2}\rfloor+1 ⌊ n 2 ⌋ + 1 particle-hole excitations over the averaging eigenstate. Importantly, in contrast to a "bare" 1/c 1 / c expansion it is uniform in space and time. The framework is based on a method for taking the thermodynamic limit of sums of form factors that exhibit non integrable singularities. We expect our framework to be applicable to any local operator. We determine the first three terms of this expansion and obtain an explicit expression for the density-density dynamical correlations and the dynamical structure factor at order 1/c^2 1 / c 2 . We apply these to finite-temperature equilibrium states and non-equilibrium steady states after quantum quenches. We recover predictions of (nonlinear) Luttinger liquid theory and generalized hydrodynamics in the appropriate limits, and are able to compute sub-leading corrections to these.

The complete trans-series for conserved charges in the Lieb-Liniger model

Zoltán Bajnok, János Balog, Ramon Miravitllas +2 more

We determine the complete trans-series solution for the (non-relativistic) moments of the rapidity density in the Lieb-Liniger model. The trans-series is written explicitly in terms of a perturbative basis, which can be obtained from the already known perturbative expansion of the density by solving several ordinary differential equations. Unknown integration constants are fixed from Volin’s method. We have checked that our solution satisfies the analytical consistency requirements including the newly derived resurgence relations and agrees with the high precision numerical solution. Our results also provides the full analytic trans-series for the capacitance of the coaxial circular plate capacitor.
