Abstract

Optical coherent states are experimentally realizable continuous variable quantum states of which preparation by lasers, as well as its manipulation and monitoring by linear optical gadgets are well established. We propose a strategy to send an arbitrary superposition of four-component bimodal entangled coherent states from a sender to a receiver who, simultaneously, tries to transmit an unknown Schrodinger Cat coherent state to sender via employing a cluster consisting of three superposition of two component bimodal entangled coherent states as the quantum channel and utilizing linear optical gadgets. Heralded detection of photons in laboratories of sender and receiver followed by classical communications of even and odd number of photons and local unitary operations, impeccably, accomplishes simultaneous faithful asymmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation with one eighth of probability of success. It is seen that not all detection events implement the protocol and, therefore, one has to locally apply displacement operator, a necessary evil. We analyze near faithful partial asymmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation and associated probability of success therein. We demonstrated that, for an intense coherent optical field, fidelity approach unity.

Unidirectional Cyclic Quantum Teleportation of Arbitrary Schrodinger Cat Coherent-states via Bell Coherent-States

Pathak, Ankita, Ravi Shankar Singh

Exploiting the cluster of three Bell coherent-states as quantum channel, we presented a scheme wherein quantum-informations encoded in three arbitrary superposed coherent states, i.e., Schrodinger Cat coherent-states are simultaneously transmitted in unidirectional cyclic sequence among three parties by invoking usage of linear optical gadgets such as ideal beam-splitters, phase shifters and photon-number-resolving detectors. Proposed simultaneous unidirectional Cyclic Quantum Teleportation is faithful with one-eighth probability of success. Furthermore, it is seen that not every detection-events provides faithful scheme and, hence, fidelity and probability of success of near-faithful Cyclic Quantum Teleportation is evaluated and numerically interpreted.

Asymmetric Bidirectional Quantum Teleportation employing hexa-modal Entangled Coherent States as the Quantum Channel

Ankita Pathak, Nidhi Singh, Nikhita Singh +1 more

A Bidirectional Quantum Teleportation protocol between two parties (Alice and Bob) is investigated in which Alice possesses arbitrary entangled coherent state and Bob preserve unknown superposed coherent state via a quantum channel (hexa- modal entangled coherent states). This assymeteric bidirectional protocol is worked out in continuous variable (coherent states) regime.

Quantum Tele-Amplification of Non-Gaussian State via bi-modal Asymmetric Entangled Coherent State

Ankita Pathak, Ravi Shankar Singh

Optical Coherent State (OCS), generated by LASERS, exhibits Gaussian probability (Wigner) distribution function with minimum uncertainty-spread in quantum phase space. It provides over-complete states spanning infinite dimensional Hilbert space, an emblematic instance of continuous variable states. Quantum superposition of Cat Coherent States (CCS), named as Schrodinger CCS due to historical reasons and visualized as non-Gaussian Wigner distribution function in phase space, furnishes quantum resources for quantum information science, engineering and technology i.e., quantum non-locality, quantum teleportation, and tele-amplification, to name a few. We proposed a protocol to teleporting mono-modal non-Gaussian OCS (Schrodinger CCS) conjoined with its amplification via asymmetric two mode entangled CCS as quantum channel. The fidelity and probability of successful event and unsuccessful event quantum tele-amplification is defined for various heralding conditions at sender’s lab. It is seen that the probability of faithful and unfaithful quantum tele-amplification is fifty percent with unit fidelity for intense OCS. Prospective utility of our scheme may overlong distances transmission where loss in photon is inevitable.

Asymmetric bidirectional quantum 1 ⇔ 2 qubit teleportation scheme via six-qubit Bell-cluster state

Hao Yuan, Zhanjun Zhang

Abstract Using a six-qubit Bell-cluster state, we proposed an asymmetric bidirectional quantum teleportation scheme. Two participants Anne and Benson are both the sender and receiver. Only applying Bell-state measurement, single- and two-qubit unitary operations as well as classical communication, Anne can transmit an arbitrary two-qubit unknown state to Benson, meanwhile Benson can also send an arbitrary single-qubit unknown state to Anne. Analysis shows that our scheme is feasible with the present experiment technologies.

Bidirectional multi-nodes quantum teleportation using discrete-time quantum walk

Nada Ikken, Pankaj Kumar, Abdallah Slaoui +4 more

We suggest a new technique for bidirectional quantum teleportation (BQT) that combines coherent-state encoding with discrete-time quantum walks to allow two users to communicate quantum information simultaneously. Our method enables Alice and Bob to simultaneously teleport quantum states to one another within a single protocol, as compared to unidirectional teleportation, which only transmits quantum states in one direction. To allow for a qubit-like representation and fidelity analysis using Bloch vector formalism, the quantum information is encoded using non-orthogonal coherent states that are converted into an orthonormal basis of even and odd Schrödinger cat states. Four different quantum walk steps, each acting on a three-part quantum system made up of position and coin spaces, drive the teleportation process. We use density matrix overlaps in the even-odd basis to derive closed-form formulas for teleportation fidelity in both directions analytically. Using the SeQUeNCe discrete-event simulator, we simulate large-scale quantum network settings with realistic limitations, including photon loss, memory decoherence, entanglement swapping degradation, and various channel capacities in order to evaluate the potential of our approach. We evaluate quantum memory utilization, throughput, and end-to-end fidelity in various network topologies and scenarios. Our findings demonstrate that BQT allows symmetric communication with strong fidelity, particularly in high-capacity and large-scale network situations, but requires a greater resource overhead than unidirectional protocols. The hybrid framework developed in this study offers a scalable and analytically simple solution for next-generation quantum communication systems by combining discrete-time quantum evolution with continuous-variable state encoding.
