The Bell-based super-coherent states: Uncertainty relations, Golden ratio and fermion–boson entanglement

Abstract

The set of maximally fermion–boson entangled Bell super-coherent states is introduced. A superposition of these states with separable bosonic coherent states, represented by points on the super-Bloch sphere, we call the Bell-based super-coherent states. Entanglement of bosonic and fermionic degrees of freedom in these states is studied by using displacement bosonic operator. It acts on the super-qubit reference state, representing superposition of the zero and the one super-number states, forming computational basis super-states. We show that the states are completely characterized by displaced Fock states, as a superposition with non-classical, the photon added coherent states, and the entanglement is independent of coherent state parameter [Formula: see text] and of the time evolution. In contrast to never orthogonal Glauber coherent states, our entangled super-coherent states can be orthogonal. The uncertainty relation in the states is monotonically growing function of the concurrence and for entangled states we get non-classical quadrature squeezing and representation of uncertainty by ratio of two Fibonacci numbers. The sequence of concurrences, and corresponding uncertainties [Formula: see text], in the limit [Formula: see text], convergent to the Golden ratio uncertainty [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is found.

Electromagnetic field fluctuations and uncertainty relation for general quantum superpositions of coherent states

A. V. Kozlovskiĭ

Quantum statistical properties of general superpositions of coherent states of the type Nα,βα+eiξβ have been studied. Formulas for fluctuations (variances) of the coordinate and momentum quadratures and fluctuations of the number of photons in these states are obtained. The amplitude Nα,βnαeiφ+eiξnβeiφ,φ=φα=φβ and phase Nα,βneiφα+eiξneiφβ,n=nα=nβ superpositions of coherent states are considered separately. In the case of amplitude superpositions, a field under certain conditions occurs in a quadrature-squeezed state. At the same time, the photon distribution in the case of amplitude superpositions is always super-Poissonian. In the case of phase superpositions, a field under certain conditions occurs in quadrature-squeezed states for small average numbers of photons. For certain parameters of coherent states, the photon statistics in phase superpositions is sub-Poissonian. Using amplitude superpositions, it is possible to generate a microscopic electromagnetic field with the average photon number below or on the order of unity, as well as mesoscopic and even macroscopic fields with arbitrary large average photon numbers, characterized by significant quadrature squeezing. Using phase superpositions, it is possible to create under certain conditions the electromagnetic field states with sub-Poissonian statistics (squeezed distribution of photon numbers) for an arbitrary large average photon number. Expressions for a ‘strict’ coordinate–momentum uncertainty relation (Cauchy inequality) are obtained and analysed in cases of general, amplitude and phase superpositions of coherent states.

Supercoherent states

Carlos Aragone, Fredy R. Zypman

The authors present the supercoherent states. They are introduced as the eigenstates of the supersymmetric annihilation operator of the quantum mechanical supersymmetric harmonic oscillator. They have a compact expression in terms of the standard (bosonic) coherent states. For each value of the complex parameter z there are two linearly independent orthogonal supercoherent states. One of them has pure fermionic character and is the more classical, while the other is fully supersymmetric (i.e. the mean value of the Klein operator when the system is set in this state vanishes). There are no purely bosonic supercoherent states. The supercoherent fermionic states saturate both the Heisenberg uncertainty relation and the new entropic uncertainty recently introduced by Deutsch (1983), while the supersymmetric ones almost (but not exactly) make it. They give a classical (or almost classical) mean value for the energy of the system and do not spread along their time evolution.

Entanglement of spin coherent mixed states

Mostafa Mansour, Y. Hassouni

In this paper, we quantify the amount of entanglement of bipartite mixed states represented by a statistical mixture of the more general type of two-qubit non-orthogonal states of the form: [Formula: see text], constructed by linearly independent spin coherent states. We use the concurrence as a measure of entanglement and we study its behavior in terms of the amplitudes of SU(2) coherent states.

Entanglement Dynamics of Photon-Added Quasi-Bell Coherent States

Mounaim Hamdoune, Mohammed Daoud A

Abstract Photon-added coherent states (PACS) represent a critical bridge between classical coherent states and quantum Fock states, exhibiting non-classical properties such as squeezing and sub-Poissonian statistics. In this work, we investigate the entanglement properties of quasi-Bell states constructed from photon-added coherent states, with a focus on the concurrence and entanglement of formation under varying photon excitation numbers m and coherent state amplitudes |α|. By leveraging the mathematical framework of Glauber’s coherent states and Laguerre polynomial normalization, we derive analytical expressions for the overlap between |α, m⟩ and | − α, m⟩, and analyze their suitability for qubit encoding. Our results reveal that for |α| ≥ 2, these states approximate orthogonal logical qubits, while smaller amplitudes exhibit m-dependent entanglement degradation. Numerical simulations demonstrate that entanglement of formation E12 approaches unity for large |α|, independent of m, but diminishes with increasing m in the weak-field regime (|α|2 < 1.5). These findings advance the understanding of photon-added states in quantum information protocols, offering insights into decoherence mitigation and resource-efficient qubit design.

On Generalized Super-Coherent States

Mohammed Daoud A, Y. Hassouni, M. Kibler

A set of operators, the so-called k-fermion operators, that interpolate between boson and fermion operators are introduced through the consideration of an algebra arising from two non-commuting quon algebras. The deformation parameters q and 1/q for these quon algebras are roots of unity with q to the power k being equal to 1. The case k = 2 corresponds to fermions and the case k going to infinity to bosons. Generalized coherent states (connected to the k-fermionic states) and super-coherent states (involving a k-fermionic sector and a purely bosonic sector) are investigated.

Golden quantum oscillator and Binet–Fibonacci calculus

Oktay K. Pashaev, Şengül Nalcı

The Binet formula for Fibonacci numbers is treated as a q -number and a q -operator with Golden ratio bases q = φ and Q = −1/φ, and the corresponding Fibonacci or Golden calculus is developed. A quantum harmonic oscillator for this Golden calculus is derived so that its spectrum is given only by Fibonacci numbers. The ratio of successive energy levels is found to be the Golden sequence, and for asymptotic states in the limit n → ∞ it appears as the Golden ratio. We call this oscillator the Golden oscillator. Using double Golden bosons, the Golden angular momentum and its representation in terms of Fibonacci numbers and the Golden ratio are derived. Relations of Fibonacci calculus with a q -deformed fermion oscillator and entangled N -qubit states are indicated.
