Abstract

We present a scheme to enhance two different magnon modes entanglement in cavity magnomechanics via nonlinear effect. The scheme demonstrated that nonlinear effects enhance entanglement of the two magnon modes. Moreover, the entanglement of the two magnon modes is also significantly enhanced by microwave parametric amplification (PA) and magnon self-Kerr nonlinearity. Not only dose nonlinear effect enhances the strength of entanglement, but it also increases the robustness of entanglement against temperature. Our proposed scheme plays an important role in the research of fundamental theories of quantum physics and quantum information processing theory.

We propose a method to increase the entanglement of two different magnon modes in cavity magnomechanics through a nonlinear effect. One magnon mode in a ferrimagnet interacts with a deformed phonon mode through magnetostrictive contact in this system. Additionally, microwave parametric amplification (PA) considerably increases the entanglement of the two magnon modes. Magnon self-Kerr nonlinearity enhances entanglement within specific parameter values. Our proposed scheme may find applications in the study of fundamental theories in quantum physics and quantum information processing theory.

Enhanced entanglement via magnon squeezing in a two-cavity magnomechanical system

Amjad Sohail, Rizwan Ahmed, Jia‐Xin Peng +2 more

The present study is based on a theoretically feasible scheme for the enhancement of entanglement between different bipartitions due to magnon squeezing in a two-cavity magnomechanical system, having two microwave cavity mode photons, a magnon mode, and phonon mode. The nonlinearity in the system is well enhanced owing to magnon squeezing, which is responsible for the enhancement of different bipartitions’ entanglement. By employing the standard Langevin approach, we found that the magnon squeezing parameter not only enhances the entanglement between directly coupled modes, but also has a considerable impact on indirectly coupled modes’ entanglement. In addition, we find the negative impact of the thermal bath for the mechanical mode on the generation of photon–phonon and magnon–phonon entanglements. Furthermore, magnon squeezing has shown a significant role in the entanglement robustness against thermal effects. Moreover, the tripartite entanglement among photon, magnon, and phonon is also considerably enhanced in the presence of magnon squeezing. This two-cavity magnomechanical system might be used in quantum tasks that require the enhancement of entanglement of indirectly coupled modes.

Entanglement engineering in magnomechanical system via cross-Kerr interaction and mechanical parametric amplification

Quantum entanglement in cavity magnomechanical system has a wide range of applications in modern quantum technologies. In this work, we propose a theoretical scheme to generate and enhance quantum entanglement through cross-Kerr nonlinearity and mechanical parametric amplification (MPA) in a magnomechanical system. Our system is made of a magnonic mode that is simultaneously driving the acoustic phononic and the center-of-mass motion (CMM) phonon in a yttrium iron garnet sphere. The acoustic mode and the center-of-mass mechanical (CMM) mode are weakly coupled via the phonon hopping rate $J_m$. Moreover, the magnonic and phononic modes interact through cross-Kerr interaction, while the phononic mode is additionally driven via a Mechanical Parametric Amplification (MPA). Without the mechanical coupling ($J_m = 0$) and the MPA, the generation of entanglement among the subsystems requires a relatively strong effective cross-Kerr coupling. However, when phonon hopping and MPA are accounted, quantum entanglement can be generated even for weak values of the cross-Kerr coupling strength, revealing the key role of these interactions in the engineering of quantum correlations in our proposal. Furthermore, the related purity of the generated entangled states remains high for the same parameter's regime, revealing that the generated quantum entanglement is established without significantly increasing the mixing of the involved states in the system. Our work suggests how robust and stable quantum correlations can be engineered in magnomechanical structures based on nonlinear interactions. These results are useful for modern quantum applications including quantum information processing, quantum communication, and quantum computational tasks.

Entanglement enhancement in cavity magnomechanics by an optical parametric amplifier

Bakht Hussain, Shahid Qamar, Muhammad Irfan

We propose a method to enhance bipartite and tripartite entanglement in cavity magnomechanics using an optical parametric amplifier (OPA). We analyze this system and identified parametric regimes where different types of entanglement are enhanced. We show that a proper choice of phase of the parametric amplifier leads to the enhancement of the bipartite entanglements. Moreover, the tripartite entanglement is also significantly enhanced in the presence of the OPA. The OPA not only enhances the strength of entanglement but also increases the domain of entanglement over a wider space of detunings as compared to the system when no OPA is present. Similarly, the robustness of entanglement against temperature is also enhanced. Another important consequence of the OPA is the fact that it relaxes the requirement of strong magnon-phonon coupling to generate cavity-magnon entanglement which is necessary for the case when the OPA is not present. We believe that the presented scheme is a step forward to realize robust quantum entanglement using current technology.

Enhanced entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system via an auxiliary magnon mode and optical parametric amplification

Junfei Chen, Zhiting Xu, Qing-Xia Mu

Abstract We study photon–phonon entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system assisted by an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and an auxiliary magnon mode. In this hybrid system, the OPA modifies the cavity-field fluctuations through its gain and phase, while the auxiliary magnon mode introduces an additional coherent pathway for strengthening the cavity-phonon quantum correlation. By employing the linearized quantum Langevin equations and the covariance-matrix formalism, we investigate the bipartite entanglement of the system. We find that the auxiliary magnon mode enhances the cavity-phonon entanglement in a suitable parameter regime, and that the OPA can further improve the entanglement through properly chosen gain and phase. In addition, their combined action broadens the parameter region for strong entanglement and improves its robustness against thermal noise. Our scheme provides a promising approach for achieving enhanced and robust entanglement in cavity magnomechanical systems.

Magnon squeezing enhanced entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system

Ming‐Song Ding, Li Zheng, Ying Shi +1 more

We investigate the generation of entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system, which consists of magnons and cavity microwave photons and phonons; the magnon–photon and magnon–phonon couplings are achieved by the magnetic dipole interaction and the magnetostrictive interaction, respectively. By introducing magnon squeezing induced by magnon self-Kerr nonlinearity, the magnon–photon, magnon–phonon, and photon–phonon entanglements are enhanced compared with the case without inserting magnon squeezing. We find that an optimal parameter of the squeezing exists, which yields the maximum entanglement. This study provides a new idea for exploring the properties of quantum entanglement in cavity magnomechanical systems, and may have some potential applications in quantum state engineering.
