Abstract

Abstract We present a formalism to detect genuine multipartite entanglement by considering projection map which is a positive but not completely positive map. Projection map has been motivated by the no-pancake theorem which repudiates the existence of a quantum operation that maps the Bloch sphere onto a disk along its equator. The not-complete positivity feature of projection map is explored to investigate genuine multipartite entanglement in arbitrary N-qubit quantum systems. Our proposed framework can detect some important classes of genuinely entangled states in tripartite and quadripartite scenarios. We provide illustrative example to show the efficacy of our formalism to detect a class of tripartite PPT bound entangled states. Finally, we construct a suitable witness operator based on projection map to certify genuine tripartite entanglement, which is likely to be feasible experimentally.

Detecting genuine multipartite entanglement using moments of positive maps

Saheli Mukherjee, Bivas Mallick, Sahil Gopalkrishna Naik +2 more

Genuine multipartite entanglement (GME) represents the strongest form of entanglement in multipartite systems, providing significant advantages in various quantum information processing tasks. In this work, we propose an experimentally feasible scheme for detecting GME, based on the truncated moments of positive maps. Our method avoids the need for full state tomography, making it scalable for larger systems. We provide illustrative examples of both pure and mixed states to demonstrate the efficacy of our formalism in detecting inequivalent classes of tripartite genuine entanglement. We further demonstrate the detection of quadripartite genuine entanglement, underscoring the effectiveness of our method in identifying entanglement beyond the tripartite case. Finally, we present a proposal for realizing these moments in real experiments.

Detecting multipartite entanglement via complete orthogonal basis

Hui Zhao, Jia Hao, Jing Li +3 more

We study genuine tripartite entanglement and multipartite entanglement in arbitrary n-partite quantum systems based on complete orthogonal basis (COB). While the usual Bloch representation of a density matrix uses three types of generators, the density matrix with COB operators has one uniformed type of generators which may simplify related computations. We take the advantage of this simplicity to derive useful and operational criteria to detect genuine tripartite entanglement and multipartite entanglement. We first convert the general states to simpler forms by using the relationship between general symmetric informationally complete measurements and COB. Then we derive an operational criteria to detect genuine tripartite entanglement. We study multipartite entanglement in arbitrary dimensional multipartite systems. By providing detailed examples, we demonstrate that our criteria can detect more genuine entangled and multipartite entangled states than the previously existing criteria.

Detecting entanglement harnessing Lindblad structure

Vaibhav Chimalgi, Bihalan Bhattacharya, Suchetana Goswami +1 more

Abstract The problem of entanglement detection is a long standing problem in quantum information theory. One of the primary procedures of detecting entanglement is to find the suitable positive but non-completely positive maps. Here we try to give a generic prescription to construct a positive map that can be useful for such scenarios. We study a class of positive maps arising from Lindblad structures. We show that two famous positive maps viz. transposition, reduction map and Choi map can be obtained as a special case of a class of positive maps having Lindblad structure. Generalizing the transposition map to a one parameter family we have used it to detect genuine multipartite entanglement. Finally being motivated by the negativity of entanglement, we have defined a similar measure for genuine multipartite entanglement.

Detecting genuine tripartite entanglement via general symmetric informationally complete measurements

Jia Hao, Hui Zhao, Shao-Ming Fei +2 more

We study multipartite entanglement and genuine tripartite entanglement based on general symmetric informationally complete positive operator valued measurements (GSIC-POVMs). By representing the bipartite density matrices in terms of GSIC-POVMs, we obtain the lower bound of the sum of squares of the corresponding probability. We then construct a special matrix with the correlation probability of GSIC-POVMs to derive useful and operational criteria to detect genuine tripartite entanglement. We also generalize the results to obtain a sufficient criterion to detect entanglement for multipartite quantum states in arbitrary dimensions. Detailed examples show that the new method can detect more entangled and genuine entangled states than previous criteria.

Detecting genuine multipartite entanglement in three-qubit systems with eternal non-Markovianity

Ankit Vaishy, Subhadip Mitra, Samyadeb Bhattacharya

Abstract We devise a novel protocol to detect genuinely multipartite entangled states by harnessing quantum non-Markovian operations. We utilize a particular type of non-Markovianity known as the eternal non-Markovianity to construct a non-complete positive map to filter out the bi-separable states and detect genuine multipartite entanglement. We further propose a witness operator to detect genuinely multipartite entangled states experimentally based on this theory. Our study sheds light on a hitherto unexplored connection between entanglement theory and quantum non-Markovianity.

Detection and measure of genuine entanglement based on the realignment of density matrices for tripartite quantum states

Xianfei Qi

As one of the important types of entanglement, genuine multipartite entanglement plays a key role in both foundational and practical aspects of quantum information theory. In this manuscript, we study the genuine multipartite entanglement in tripartite quantum systems based on the enhanced realignment criterion. A family of sufficient conditions for detecting genuine tripartite entanglement are presented. Moreover, lower bounds of the genuine multipartite entanglement concurrence are derived. The detection power and advantages of our results are illustrated through several examples.
