Abstract

In this paper we discuss some properties of Baxter's TQ equation for the eight-vertex elliptic Sklyanin algebra it its compact representation based on the elliptic Gamma-functions. As the main result, we establish the structure of the spectrum of the corresponding quantum integrable model.

Representation Theory and Baxter's TQ equation for the six-vertex model. A pedagogical overview

Christian Korff

A summary of the construction procedure of generalized versions of Baxter's Q-operator is given. Illustrated by several figures and diagrams the use of representation theory is explained step-by-step avoiding technical details. The relation with the infinite-dimensional non-abelian symmetries of the six-vertex model at roots of unity is discussed and parallels with the eight-vertex case outlined.

TheTQequation of the eight-vertex model for complex elliptic roots of unity

Klaus Fabricius, Barry M. McCoy

We extend our studies of the TQ equation introduced by Baxter in his 1972 solution of the eight-vertex model with parameter η given by 2 L η = 2 m 1 K + i m 2 K ' from m 2 = 0 to the more general case of complex η. We find that there are several different cases depending on the parity of m 1 and m 2 .

Solution of Eight-vertex Lattice Model Without Elliptic Functions

Kailash Kumar

Baxter's method of solving the eight-vertex model in lattice statistical mechanics is examined from an elementary point of view. It is shown that the algebraic operations in the method can be carried out without recourse to elliptic functions. These include: construction of certain subspaces invariant uti.der the action of the transfer matrix; reduction of the transfer matrix eigenvalue problem to an equivalent ice-type problem and construction of certain matrices which commute with the transfer matrix and satisfy a functional matrix equation.

Algebraic Geometry in Discrete Quantum Integrable Model and Baxter's T-Q Relation

Shao-shiung Lin, Shi-shyr Roan

We study the diagonalization problem of certain discrete quantum integrable models by the method of Baxter’s T-Q relation from the algebraic geometry aspect. Among those the Hofstadter type model (with the rational magnetic flux), discrete quantum pendulum and discrete sine-Gordon model are our main concern in this report. By the quantum inverse scattering method, the Baxter’s T-Q relation is formulated on the associated spectral curve, a high genus Riemann surface in general, arisen from the study of the spectrum problem of the system. In the case of degenerated spectral curve where the spectral variables lie on rational curves, we obtain the complete and explicit solution of the T-Q polynomial equation associated to the model, and the intimate relation between the Baxter’s T-Q relation and algebraic Bethe Ansatz is clearly revealed. The algebraic geometry of a general spectral curve attached to the model and certain qualitative properties of solutions of the Baxter’s T-Q relation are discussed incorporating the physical consideration.

Solving Baxter's TQ-equation via representation theory

Christian Korff

Baxter's TQ-equation is solved for the six-vertex model using the representation theory of quantum groups at roots of unity. A novel simplified construction of the Q-operator is given depending on a new free parameter. Specializing this general construction to even roots of unity and lattices with an odd number of columns two linearly independent operator solutions of Baxter's TQ equation are obtained as special limits.

Elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider and Calogero-Moser Models Represented by Sklyanin Algebra andsl(n) Gaudin Algebra

Kai Chen, Heng Fan, Bo-Yu Hou +3 more

The relationship between Elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider (RS) and Calogero-Moser (CM) models with Sklyanin algebra is presented. Lax pair representations of the Elliptic RS and CM are reviewed. For n=2 case, the eigenvalue and eigenfunction for Lame equation are found by using the result of the Bethe ansatz method.
