The Bipartite and Tripartite Entanglement in PT-Symmetric System

Vinh Le Duc, Mateusz Nowotarski, Joanna K. Kalaga

We consider a PT-symmetric system that involves three optical resonant elements coupled together. We investigate the quantum correlations between subsystems by calculating bipartite and tripartite entanglement. We show that when PT-symmetry is maintained, the correlations between subsystems strongly depend on the parameters describing the interaction between them and characterizing the gain and loss of energy in the system’s active and passive elements. We estimate the range of interaction parameter values for which the strongest bipartite and tripartite entanglement can be produced. Additionally, we show that the discussed system can be a source of stable entangled states.

Robust tripartite-to-bipartite entanglement localization by weak measurements and reversal

Chunmei Yao, Zhihao Ma, Zhihua Chen +1 more

We propose a robust and efficient approach for tripartite-to-bipartite entanglement localization. By using weak measurements and quantum measurement reversal, an almost maximal entangled state shared by two parties can be generated with the assistance of the third party by local quantum operations and classical communication from a $W$-like state. We show that this approach works well in the presence of losses and phase diffusion. Our method provides an active way to fight against decoherence, and might help for quantum communication and distributed quantum computation.

Extraction of genuine tripartite entanglement from the vacuum

Krzysztof Lorek, Daniel Pęcak, Eric G. Brown +1 more

We demonstrate and characterize the extraction of genuine tripartite entanglement from the vacuum of a periodic cavity field. That is, three probe quantum systems (detectors) can become both bipartitely and tripartitely entangled without coming into causal contact, by means of interaction with a common quantum field. We do this by using an oscillator-detector model that forgoes the need for perturbation theory and which instead is solved exactly. We find that the extraction of tripartite entanglement is considerably easier than that of bipartite. As a secondary result, we also compare a periodic cavity with one that has Dirichlet boundary conditions. We find that the extraction of both bipartite and tripartite entanglement is more easily achieved using the former case.
