Abstract

In the present paper, an uncertainty principle is derived in the quantum wavelet framework. Precisely, a new uncertainty principle for the generalized q-Bessel wavelet transform, based on some q-quantum wavelet, is established. A two-parameters extension of the classical Bessel operator is applied to generate a wavelet function which is used for exploring a wavelet uncertainty principle in the q-calculus framework.

An uncertainty principle for the basic wavelet transform

Javid Ahmad Ganie, Renu Jain

The aim of this paper is to derive the uncertainty principle which has implications in signal analysis and in quantum mechanics. First, we derive the definition of the wavelet transform in [Formula: see text]-calculus by using some weight function. Certain properties like linearity, scaling, translation, etc. were discussed. Later on, to illustrate this integral transform several results were derived for the effectiveness and performance of the proposed method. Also, this paper surveys recent applications to establish generalized uncertainty principle.

Hicham Banouh, Anouar Ben Mabrouk

In the present work, we are concerned with the development of a new uncertainty principle based on the wavelet transform in the Clifford analysis/algebra framework. We precisely derive a sharp Heisenberg-type uncertainty principle for the continuous Clifford wavelet transform.

Uncertainty principles for the continuous wavelet transform associated with a Bessel type operator on the half line

Cyrine Baccar, Aicha Kabache

This paper presents uncertainty principles pertaining to generalized wavelet transforms associated with a second-order differential operator on the half line, extending the concept of the Bessel operator. Specifically, we derive a Heisenberg-Pauli-Weyl type uncertainty principle, as well as other uncertainty relations involving sets of finite measure

Quantum wavelets

Sabrine Arfaoui, Anouar Ben Mabrouk, Carlo Cattani

Quantum wavelets are special types of wavelet functions characterized by special properties that may not be satisfied by other functions. This chapter aims to develop wavelet functions based on some special functions such as Bessel one. Bessel functions form an important class of special functions and are applied almost everywhere in mathematical physics. There are three main ways to introduce Bessel functions. The first one is due to a special type of second-order singular and linear differential equations where the Bessel functions form a generator set of solutions. The second one resembles orthogonal polynomials and provides Bessel functions as solutions of three-level recurrent singular and linear functional equation. The third one provides Bessel functions via the Rodriguez derivation formula.

Nazarov’s uncertainty principle for linear canonical wavelet transform

Mawardi Bahri

The linear canonical wavelet transform is a useful tool for image analysis. It may be considered as an extension of the conventional wavelet transform in the context the linear canonical transform. In the current study, we introduce the definition of the linear canonical wavelet transform and collect its essential properties. Based on the properties we derive in detail Nazarov’s uncertainty principle related to this generalized wavelet transformation.
