Abstract

Genuine multipartite entanglement (GME) offers more significant advantages in quantum information compared with entanglement. We propose a sufficient criterion for the detection of GME based on local sum uncertainty relations for chosen observables of subsystems. We apply the criterion to detect the GME properties of noisy $n$-partite W state when $n = 3, 4, 5$ and $6$, and find that the criterion can detect more noisy W states when $n$ ranges from 4 to 6. Moreover, the criterion is also used to detect the genuine entanglement of $3$-qutrit state. The result is stronger than that based on GME concurrence and fisher information.

Measure and detection of genuine multipartite entanglement for tripartite systems

Ming Li, Lingxia Jia, Jing Wang +2 more

It is a computationally hard task to certify genuine multipartite entanglement (GME). We investigate the relation between the norms of the correlation vectors and the detection of GME for tripartite quantum systems. A sufficient condition for GME and an effective lower bound for the GME concurrence are derived. Several examples are considered to show the effectiveness of the criterion and the lower bound of GME concurrence.

Entanglement criterion for tripartite systems based on local sum uncertainty relations

Y. Akbari-Kourbolagh, M. Azhdargalam

We propose a sufficient criterion for the entanglement of tripartite systems based on local sum uncertainty relations for arbitrarily chosen observables of subsystems. This criterion generalizes the tighter criterion for bipartite systems introduced by Zhang et al. [C.-J. Zhang, H. Nha, Y.-S. Zhang, and G.-C. Guo, Phys. Rev. A 81, 012324 (2010)] and can be used for both discrete- and continuous-variable systems. It enables us to detect the entanglement of quantum states without having a complete knowledge of them. Its utility is illustrated by some examples of three-qubit, qutrit-qutrit-qubit, and three-mode Gaussian states. It is found that, in comparison with other criteria, this criterion is able to detect some three-qubit bound entangled states more efficiently.

Multipartite entanglement criterion via generalized local uncertainty relations

Jiabin Zhang, Tao Li, Qinghua Zhang +2 more

We study the detection of multipartite entanglement based on the generalized local uncertainty relations. A sufficient criterion for the entanglement of four-partite quantum systems is presented in terms of the local uncertainty relations. Detailed examples are given to illustrate the advantages of our criterion. The approach is generalized to general multipartite entanglement cases.

An improved lower bound of genuine tripartite entanglement concurrence

Jing Wang, Xue‐Na Zhu, Ming Li +2 more

Abstract As one of the important types of entanglement, genuine multipartite entanglement (GME) offers significant advantages in many quantum information processing tasks. We study the GME concurrence and present an improved lower bound of the GME concurrence for tripartite systems, which is shown to be much tighter than some existing ones. We show by detailed example that our new bound can detect more genuine tripartite entangled states. While it is a formidable task to compute the genuine tripartite entanglement concurrence analytically, our results give an effective operational way to estimate the genuine tripartite entanglement.

Detection of genuine multipartite entanglement in multipartite systems

Zhao, J., Zhao, H., Naihuan Jing +1 more

We investigate genuine multipartite entanglement in general multipartite systems. Based on the norms of the correlation tensors of a multipartite state under various partitions, we present an analytical sufficient criterion for detecting the genuine four-partite entanglement. The results are generalized to arbitrary multipartite systems.

Criteria to detect genuine multipartite entanglement using spin measurements

Run Yan Teh, M. D. Reid

We derive conditions in the form of inequalities to detect the genuine $N$-partite entanglement of $N$ systems. The inequalities are expressed in terms of variances of spin operators and can be tested by local spin measurements performed on the individual systems. Violation of the inequalities is sufficient (but not necessary) to certify the multipartite entanglement and occurs when a type of spin squeezing is created. The inequalities are similar to those derived for continuous-variable systems, but instead are based on the Heisenberg spin-uncertainty relation $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}{J}_{x}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}{J}_{y}\ensuremath{\ge}|\ensuremath{\langle}{J}_{z}\ensuremath{\rangle}|/2$. We also extend previous work to derive spin-variance inequalities that certify the full tripartite inseparability or genuine multipartite entanglement among systems with fixed spin $J$, as in Greenberger--Horne--Zeilinger (GHZ) states and W states where $J=1/2$. These inequalities are derived from the planar spin-uncertainty relation ${(\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}{J}_{x})}^{2}+{(\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}{J}_{y})}^{2}\ensuremath{\ge}{C}_{J}$ where ${C}_{J}$ is a constant for each $J$. Finally, it is shown how the inequalities detect multipartite entanglement based on Stokes operators. We illustrate with experiments that create entanglement shared among separated atomic ensembles, polarization-entangled optical modes, and the clouds of atoms of an expanding spin-squeezed Bose-Einstein condensate. For each example, we give a criterion to certify the mutual entanglement.
