Abstract

We consider deformation of a generic d dimensional (d≥2) large-N CFT on a sphere by a spin-0 operator which is bilinear in the components of the stress tensor. Such a deformation has been proposed to be holographically dual to an AdSd+1 bulk with a hard radial cut-off. We compute the exact partition function and find the entanglement entropy from the field theory side in various dimensions and compare with the corresponding holographic results. We also compute renormalized entanglement entropy both in field theory and holography and find complete agreement between them.

Entanglement entropy and $$ T\overline{T} $$ deformations beyond antipodal points from holography

Sebastian Grieninger

Abstract We consider the entanglement entropies in dSd sliced (A)dSd+1 in the presence of a hard radial cutoff for 2 ≤ d ≤ 6. By considering a one parameter family of analytical solutions, parametrized by their turning point in the bulk r*, we are able to compute the entanglement entropy for generic intervals on the cutoff slice. It has been proposed that the field theory dual of this scenario is a strongly coupled CFT, deformed by a certain irrelevant deformation — the so-called $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ deformation. Surprisingly, we find that we may write the entanglement entropies formally in the same way as the entanglement entropy for antipodal points on the sphere by introducing an effective radius Reff = R cos(βϵ), where R is the radius of the sphere and βϵ related to the length of the interval. Geometrically, this is equivalent to following the $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ trajectory until the generic interval corresponds to antipodal points on the sphere. Finally, we check our results by comparing the asymptotic behavior (no Dirichlet wall present) with the results of Casini, Huerta and Myers. We then switch on counterterms on the cutoff slice which are important with regards to the field theory calculation. We explicitly compute the contributions of the counterterms to the entanglement entropy by considering the Wald entropy. In the second part of this work, we extend the field theory calculation of the entanglement entropy for antipodal points for a d-dimensional field theory in context of DS/dS holography. We find excellent agreement with the results from holography and show, in particular, that the effects of the counterterms in the field theory calculation match the Wald entropy associated with the counterterms on the gravity side.

Entanglement Entropy and TT¯ Deformation

William Donnelly, Vasudev Shyam

Quantum gravity in a finite region of spacetime is conjectured to be dual to a conformal field theory (CFT) deformed by the irrelevant operator TT[over ¯]. We test this conjecture with entanglement entropy, which is sensitive to ultraviolet physics on the boundary, while also probing the bulk geometry. We find that the entanglement entropy for an entangling surface consisting of two antipodal points on a sphere is finite and precisely matches the Ryu-Takayanagi formula applied to a finite region consistent with the conjecture of McGough et al. We also consider a one-parameter family of conical entropies, which are finite and verify a conjecture due to Dong. Since ultraviolet divergences are local, we conclude that the TT[over ¯] deformation acts as an ultraviolet cutoff on the entanglement entropy. Our results support the conjecture that the TT[over ¯]-deformed CFT is the holographic dual of a finite region of spacetime.

Entanglement entropy in TT¯ -deformed CFT

Bin Chen, Lin Chen, Peng-Xiang Hao

In this paper, we study the entanglement entropy of a single interval on a cylinder in two-dimensional $T\overline{T}$-deformed conformal field theory (CFT). For such case, the (R\'enyi) entanglement entropy takes a universal form in a CFT. We compute the correction due to the deformation up to the leading order of the deformation parameter in the framework of the conformal perturbation theory. We find that the correction to the entanglement entropy is nonvanishing in the finite temperature case, while it is vanishing in the finite size case. For the deformed holographic large $c$ CFT, which is proposed to be dual to a ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{3}$ gravity in a finite region, we find the agreement with the holographic entanglement entropy via the Ryu-Takayanagi formula. Moreover, we compute the leading order correction to the R\'enyi entropy, and discuss its holographic picture as well.

Entanglement, $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$ and rotating black holes

Debarshi Basu, Biswas, Saikat

In this work, we investigate the entanglement structure in a $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$-deformed holographic CFT$_2$ with a conserved angular momentum. We utilize conformal perturbation theory to compute the leading order correction to the entanglement entropy and the reflected entropy due to the $\textrm{T}\bar{\textrm{T}}$ deformation in the limit of large central charge. In the dual bulk perspective described by a rotating BTZ black hole with a finite radial cut-off, we compute the holographic entanglement entropy and the entanglement wedge cross-section and observe perfect agreement with our field theoretic computation for small values of the deformation parameter.

Holographic T T ¯ deformation of the entanglement entropy in ( A ) dS 3 / CFT 2

Jing-Cheng Chang, Song He, Yu-Xiao Liu +1 more

In recent years, the holographic duality between T T ¯ -deformed conformal field theory (CFT) and Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime with finite radial cutoff has received significant attention. The study of T T ¯ deformation within the framework of de Sitter (dS)/CFT duality has also progressed. This paper shows that the trace flow equation in dS spacetime can be analytically extended from its AdS counterpart through double Wick rotations. Meanwhile, we generalize the replica method in both AdS and dS holography to derive a general expression for the entanglement entropy of arbitrary single spatial intervals within the T T ¯ -deformed framework. For both finite size and finite temperature systems, we obtain the analytical expression for the entanglement entropy after T T ¯ deformation. Finally, in dS/dS holography and half-dS holography, we find that the dual field theory exhibits nonlocality by analyzing the strong subadditivity and boosted strong subadditivity of entanglement entropy.
