Equivalent T-Q relations and exact results for the open TASEP

Abstract

Abstract Starting from the Bethe ansatz solution for the open totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP), we compute the largest eigenvalue of the deformed Markovian matrix, in exact agreement with results obtained by the matrix ansatz. We also compute the eigenvalues of the higher conserved charges. The key step is to find a simpler equivalent T-Q relation, which is similar to the one for the TASEP with periodic boundary conditions.

Spectrum of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process on a periodic lattice—bulk eigenvalues

Sylvain Prolhac

We consider the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) on a periodic one-dimensional lattice of L sites. Using Bethe ansatz, we derive parametric formulas for the eigenvalues of its generator in the thermodynamic limit. This allows to study the curve delimiting the edge of the spectrum in the complex plane. A functional integration over the eigenstates leads to an expression for the density of eigenvalues in the bulk of the spectrum. The density vanishes with an exponent 2/5 close to the eigenvalue 0.

Spectrum of the Open Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process with Arbitrary Boundary Parameters

Fa-Kai Wen, Zhan-Ying Yang, Shuai Cui +2 more

We study the one-dimensional asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) with generic open boundaries (including current-counting deformation), and obtain the exact solutions of this ASEP via the off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method. In particular, numerical results for the small size asymmetric simple exclusion process indicate that the spectrum obtained by the Bethe ansatz equations is complete. Moreover, we present the eigenvalue of the totally asymmetric exclusion process and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations.

Spectral gap of the totally asymmetric exclusion process at arbitrary filling

O. Golinelli, Kirone Mallick

We calculate the spectral gap of the Markov matrix of the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) on a ring of L sites with N particles. Our derivation is simple and self-contained and extends a previous calculation that was valid only for half-filling. We use a special property of the Bethe equations for TASEP to reformulate them as a one-body problem. Our method is closely related to the one used to derive exact large deviation functions of the TASEP.

Spectral gaps of open TASEP in the maximal current phase

Ulysse Godreau, Sylvain Prolhac

Abstract We study spectral gaps of the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with open boundaries in the maximal current phase. Earlier results for the model with periodic boundaries suggest that the gaps contributing to the universal KPZ regime may be understood as points on an infinite genus Riemann surface built from a parametric representation of the cumulant generating function of the current. We perform explicit analytic continuations from the known large deviations of the current for open TASEP, and confirm the results for the gaps by an exact Bethe ansatz calculation, with additional checks using high precision extrapolation numerics.

Connected operators for the totally asymmetric exclusion process

O. Golinelli, Kirone Mallick

We fully elucidate the structure of the hierarchy of the connected operators that commute with the Markov matrix of the Totally Asymmetric Exclusion Process (TASEP). We prove for the connected operators a combinatorial formula that was conjectured in a previous work. Our derivation is purely algebraic and relies on the algebra generated by the local jump operators involved in the TASEP. T - Q relations for the integrable two-species asymmetric simple exclusion process with open boundaries

Xin Zhang, Fa-Kai Wen, Jan de Gier

Abstract We study the integrable two-species asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) for two inequivalent types of open, non particle conserving boundary conditions. Employing the nested off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method, we construct for each case the corresponding homogeneous - relations and obtain the Bethe ansatz equations. Numerical checks for small system sizes show completeness for some Bethe ansatz equations, and partial completeness for others.
