Abstract

Double circulant codes of length $2n$ over the semilocal ring $R = \mathbb{F}_q + u\mathbb{F}_q,\, u^2=u,$ are studied when $q$ is an odd prime power, and $-1$ is a square in $\mathbb{F}_q.$ Double negacirculant codes of length $2n$ are studied over $R$ when $n$ is even and $q$ is an odd prime power. Exact enumeration of self-dual and LCD such codes for given length $2n$ is given. Employing a duality-preserving Gray map, self-dual and LCD codes of length $4n$ over $\mathbb{F}_q$ are constructed. Using random coding and the Artin conjecture, the relative distance of these codes is bounded below. The parameters of examples of the modest length are computed. Several such codes are optimal.

On quantum and LCD Codes Over The Ring F q [u, v, w, z] /

Mohammed Sabiri, Bassou Aouijil

For an odd prime power q and ${\mathcal{R}}_{7}=\mathbb{F}_{q}+u \mathbb{F}_{q}+$ $v \mathbb{F}_{q}+w \mathbb{F}_{q}+z \mathbb{F}_{q}+u^{2} \mathbb{F}_{q}+w z \mathbb{F}_{q}$. Through this work we seek to construct new quantum codes and LCD codes by means of cyclic codes built on the ring ${\mathcal{R}}_{7}$. By using cyclic codes containing their duals, we give quantum codes, we also give a method for the construction of LCD Codes over ${\mathcal{R}}_{7}$.

New Quantum and LCD Codes over Finite Fields of Even Characteristic

Habibul Islam, Om Prakash

For an integer m ≥ 1, we study cyclic codes of length l over a commutative non-chain ring F2m + uF2m , where u2 = u . With a new Gray map and Euclidean dual-containing cyclic codes, we provide many new and superior codes to the best-known quantum error-correcting codes. Also, we characterise LCD codes of length l with respect to their generator polynomials and prove that F2m − image of an LCD code of length l is an LCD code of length 2l . Finally, we provide several optimal LCD codes from the Gray images of LCD codes over F2m + uF2m .

On the Structure of Cyclic Codes Over $\mathbb{F}_{q}{RS}$ and Applications in Quantum and LCD Codes Constructions

Let p be an odd prime, q = pm, R = Fq+ uFqwith u2= 1, and S = Fq+ uFq+ vFq+ uvFqwith u2= 1, v2= 1, uv = vu. In this paper, FqRS-cyclic codes over FqRS are studied. As an application, we present a construction of quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs) from the FqRS-cyclic codes over FqRS, which provides new QECCs. We also consider linear complementary dual (LCD) codes from the FqRS-cyclic codes over FqRS. Among others, we construct a Gray map over FqRS and discuss the Gray images of FqRS-cyclic codes over Fq.

Quantum and LCD codes from skew constacyclic codes over a general class of non-chain rings

Pradeep Rai, Bhupendra Singh, Ashok Ji Gupta

Abstract In this paper, we study skew constacyclic codes over a class of non-chain rings $\mathcal{T}=\mathbb{F}_q[u_1,u_2,\ldots, u_r]/ \langle f_i(u_i), u_iu_j-u_ju_i\rangle_{i,j=1}^r$, where $q=p^m$, $p$ is some odd prime, $m$ is a positive integer and $f_i(u_i)$ are non-constant polynomials which split into distinct linear factors. We discuss the structural properties of skew constacyclic codes over $\mathcal{T}$ and their dual. We characterize (Euclidean and Hermitian) dual-containing skew constacyclic codes. These characterizations serve as a foundational framework for the development of techniques to construct quantum codes. Consequently, we derive plenty of new quantum codes including many Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) quantum codes, and many quantum codes with better parameters than existing ones. Our work further extends to the characterization of skew constacyclic Euclidean and Hermitian Linear Complementary Dual (LCD) codes over $\mathcal{T}$, and we establish that their Gray images also preserve the LCD property. From this analysis, we derive numerous Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) codes and Best-Known Linear Codes (BKLC) over $\mathbb{F}_q$. New Non-binary Quantum Codes Over Fq+uFq+vFq+uvFq

Leilei Gao

Let R= Fq+uFq+vFq+uvFq be a commutative ring with u2=u, v2=v, uv=vu, where q is a power of an odd prime. Ashraf and Mohammad constructed some new quantum codes from cyclic codes. Under this background, another Gray map from R to Fq4 is given. This map can be naturally extended to Rn. The problem on the ring turns to the field by this isomorphic map now. Therefore, This mapping is obviously a weight-preserving and distance-preserving map. The results show that the codes after mapping are self-orthogonal codes over Fq if they are self-orthogonal codes over R. Some computational examples show that some better non-binary quantum codes can be obtained under this Gray map. We discuss the structure of linear codes. On this basis, the structure of the generating matrix of linear codes is obtained. The structure of their dual codes is also obtained. The CSS construction guarantees the existence of quantum codes. Finally, with the help of the CSS construction, we get some good quantum codes. By comparison, our quantum codes have better parameters.
