An Introduction to Quantum Filtering

John Edward Gough

Published Apr 24, 2018• 6 citations
arXivHTMLPDF

Abstract

The following notes are based on lectures delivered at the research school Modeling and Control of Open Quantum Systems (Modélisation et contrôle des systèmes quantiques ouverts) at CIRM, Marseille, 16-20 April, 2018, as part of the Trimester \textit{Measurement and Control of Quantum Systems: Theory and Experiments} organized at Institut Henri Poincaré, Paris, France. The aim is to introduce quantum filtering to an audience with a background in either quantum theory or classical filtering.

An introduction into optimal control for quantum technologies

Frank K. Wilhelm, Susanna Kirchhoff, Shai Machnes +2 more

In this series of lectures, we would like to introduce the audience to quantum optimal control. The first lecture will cover basic ideas and principles of optimal control with the goal of demystifying its jargon. The second lecture will describe computational tools (for computations both on paper and in a computer) for its implementation as well as their conceptual background. The third chapter will go through a series of popular examples from different applications of quantum technology.

Quantum Information Theory -- Lecture Notes

Christoph Dittel

These lecture notes provide an introduction to quantum information and quantum computation, which are strongly related disciplines and subject of intense research. The lecture notes contain only a small selection of topics in these disciplines, with the aim of providing you with an overview and a basic introduction. The corresponding lecture series is available on my YouTube channel.
