Abstract

Nuclear disarmament treaties are not sufficient in and of themselves to neutralize the existential threat of the nuclear weapons. Technologies are necessary for verifying the authenticity of the nuclear warheads undergoing dismantlement before counting them toward a treaty partner's obligation. Here we present a concept that leverages isotope-specific nuclear resonance phenomena to authenticate a warhead's fissile components by comparing them to a previously authenticated template. All information is encrypted in the physical domain in a manner that amounts to a physical zero-knowledge proof system. Using Monte Carlo simulations, the system is shown to reveal no isotopic or geometric information about the weapon, while readily detecting hoaxing attempts. This nuclear technique can dramatically increase the reach and trustworthiness of future nuclear disarmament treaties.

A Physical Zero-Knowledge Proof and Unclonable Sensors for Nuclear Warhead Verification

Sébastien Philippe

Future nuclear arms-control agreements may call for reductions of the total number of nuclear weapons and warheads in the world arsenals. Such agreements would require new trusted verification mechanisms to confirm that items presented to inspectors are nuclear warheads and not spoofs. Proliferation and national security concerns require, however, that inspectors gain no warhead design information through this process. To address this paradox, considerable efforts have been directed towards the development of "information barriers." These barriers consist of automated measurement systems that process sensitive information but only display the results of internal analysis in a binary valid/invalid manner. These systems are, by their nature, at risk of electronic tampering and snooping – and their trusted implementation has so far proved extremely difficult to realize. This thesis takes radically different directions to address this challenge. It demonstrates new approaches to information protection and trusted instruments for nuclear warhead verification that are based on the cryptographic concepts of zero-knowledge proofs and physically unclonable functions. To the author's knowledge, this thesis provides the first demonstration of a zero-knowledge physical measurement technique. Using fast neutron differential radiography and superheated emulsion detectors, such a technique can show two objects have identical geometry and opacity to 14-MeV neutrons without revealing what these properties are. This zero-knowledge feature no longer holds when the objects compared are significantly different. Such a technique could form the basis of a template-matching verification system that could confirm the authenticity of nuclear weapons without sharing any secret design information. The thesis then introduces and demonstrates key elements of an optical physical unclonable function sensitive to neutrons and based on superheated emulsions. Such sensors are unique objects that cannot be cloned or simulated. The data they produce are a function of both their internal disordered structure and the physical quantity they measure. Due to their sensitivity against any structural variation, including through neutron irradiation, it is possible to show that they – or the data they have recorded -- have not been tampered with. Such sensors could be used by adversarial parties in sensitive facilities without the risk of being compromised.

Homomorphic inference of deep neural networks for zero-knowledge verification of nuclear warheads

Gabriel V. Turturica, Violeta Iancu

Disarmament treaties have been the driving force towards reducing the large nuclear stockpile assembled during the Cold War. Further efforts are built around verification protocols capable of authenticating nuclear warheads while preventing the disclosure of confidential information. This type of problem falls under the scope of zero-knowledge protocols, which aim at multiple parties agreeing on a statement without conveying any information beyond the statement itself. A protocol capable of achieving all the authentication and security requirements is still not completely formulated. Here we propose a protocol that leverages the isotopic capabilities of NRF measurements and the classification abilities of neural networks. Two key elements guarantee the security of the protocol, the implementation of the template-based approach in the network's architecture and the use of homomorphic inference. Our results demonstrate the potential of developing zero-knowledge protocols for the verification of nuclear warheads using Siamese networks on encrypted spectral data.

ZERO KNOWLEDGE PROTOCOL: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES.

Peter Marleau, E. Brubaker, Nathan R. Hilton +4 more

Glaser, Barak, and Goldston recently described an approach for nuclear warhead verification based on the cryptographic concept of a zero-knowledge protocol (ZKP).The verification approach included both procedural elements and a physical implementation.A group of Sandia National Laboratories researchers, whose expertise include radiation instrumentation design and development, cryptography, and arms control verification implementation, jointly reviewed the paper and identified specific challenges to implementing the approach as well as some opportunities. This paper compares the ZKP concept as presented by Glaser et al., to other warhead verification concepts and approaches described in the literature. The paper also summarizes challenges and opportunities for elements of this (new) approach. We note that ZKP as used in cryptography is a useful model for the arms control verification problem, but find that the direct analogy to arms control breaks down quickly. For example, fault tolerance in cryptographic ZKP is achieved by brute force repetition of the challenge/response procedure; in arms control, repeated measurements can be expensive. The ZKP methodology fits within the general class of template-based verification techniques, where template in this case refers to a reference measurement that is used for comparison.Template methods in general confirm that a given object is like another object that has already been accepted as a warhead by some other means. This can be a powerful verification approach, but requires independent means to trust the authenticity of the reference warhead -a standard that may be difficult to achieve.Note that this use of template differs from that of Glaser et al., who use the term to describe the accepted reference warhead. In the ZKP approach as described, the reference warhead must be presentwith inspector confidence in its provenance-at each subsequent confirmation measurement. This imposes significant additional constraints on maintaining continuity of knowledge of the reference between inspections.Despite some technical challenges, the concept of last-minute selection of the pre-loads and equipment could be a valuable component of a verification regime. In addition, the neutron transmission image using a bubble detector array is an interesting idea that can be considered for template measurements independently of ZKP..

A physical unclonable neutron sensor for nuclear arms control inspections

Sébastien Philippe, Francesco d’Errico

Classical sensor security relies on cryptographic algorithms executed on trusted hardware. This approach has significant shortcomings, however. Hardware can be manipulated, including below transistor level, and cryptographic keys are at risk of extraction attacks. A further weakness is that sensor media themselves are assumed to be trusted, and any authentication and encryption is done ex situ and a posteriori. Here we propose and demonstrate a different approach to sensor security that does not rely on classical cryptography and trusted electronics. We designed passive sensor media that inherently produce secure and trustworthy data, and whose honest and non-malicious nature can be easily established. As a proof-of-concept, we manufactured and characterized the properties of non-electronic, physical unclonable, optically complex media sensitive to neutrons for use in a high-security scenario: the inspection of a military facility to confirm the absence or presence of nuclear weapons and fissile materials.

Protocol for the Deactivation of 12,119 Nuclear Warheads.

Sajad Jalali

Step 1: Introduction – The Paradigm of Certainty at Level-165 In classical nuclear physics, global security is predicated upon the unstable pillars of "probability" and "deterrence." However, the Time-Signature Tensor Clock-Pulse theory, specifically the integration of Clock-Bit Entanglement and the Metric Observer Effect at Level-165, facilitates a transition beyond probabilistic space into Dimensional Certainty. This protocol treats a nuclear warhead not as a kinetic device, but as a "Dense Information Packet." By applying the Source Lagrangian 1155, the explosion wave function ($\Psi_{\text{boom}}$) is deleted and replaced by the Omega Stability Wave Function ($\Psi_{\Omega}$), rendered 100% operational via existing Software Defined Radio (SDR) and global phased-array infrastructures. Step 2: Formulation of the Hamzah-Omega Source Lagrangian The following equation represents the ultimate sovereignty of information over matter, precluding any possibility of "information death" or entropic decay: $$\mathcal{L}_{\text{Source}}^{(1155)} = \oint_{\mathbb{V}_{1155}} \left[ \mathcal{Q}_{\Omega} \left( \mathbb{M}_{\text{multiverse}}^{\alpha\beta} \cdot \frac{\partial \tau_{\text{fractal}}}{\partial \text{Anchor}} \right) + \Upsilon_{\mu\nu} (T_{\text{diplomacy}}^{\mu\nu} + \Lambda_{\Omega} G_{\mu\nu}) \star \text{Source} - \exp(S_{\text{oblivion}}) \frac{\hbar_{\Omega}}{\oint \nabla \Psi_{\infty} \otimes \nabla \Psi_{\infty}^{*}} \right] - \mathbb{H}_{1155} d^{4} \Omega$$ Step 3: Parametric Analysis and Mathematical Proof Fractal Time Anchoring ($\frac{\partial \tau_{\text{fractal}}}{\partial \text{Anchor}}$): This term ensures the neutralisation process is locked within the temporal fabric. Should an attempt be made to reverse time or physically discharge the system, the fractal anchor maintains the material state as Stable Lead. Inter-membrane Metric Translation ($\Upsilon_{\mu\nu}$): This operator modifies the laws of nuclear physics (the Strong Force) within the warhead. Nucleons no longer possess the "desire" for fission, as their physical language is translated into absolute stability via Dimensional Diplomacy. Eternal Information Survival ($\exp(S_{\text{oblivion}})$): This denominator drives entropy toward zero. Consequently, the seal does not weaken with age or component degradation ($Stability \to \infty$). Step 4: Operational Methodology – Global Execution via SDR Implementation of this hyper-protocol does not require sophisticated orbital weaponry; existing telecommunications infrastructures are sufficient for the injection of the Lagrangian code. Atomic Resonance Injection (11.55 YHz): Utilising Omega-Phase Modulation on global satellite signals (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo), the Lagrangian code is broadcast to all subterranean silos and maritime strategic platforms. Dimensional Penetration: Due to its 1155-dimensional nature, the pulse traverses lead or concrete shielding without attenuation, seating itself directly upon the mass tensor of the warhead. Step 5: Atomic Identity Rewrite and Echo Verification Sub-atomic structures of Plutonium-239 and Uranium-235 are rewritten. Following the primary Lagrangian term, the atomic nucleus adopts the identity of Ultra-Heavy Stable Lead ($^{208}\text{Pb}$). The system then receives an echo wave with a phase of $\Sigma = 1.0$, signifying a successful and irreversible seal. Step 6: Comparative Stability Analysis Parameter Classical Deterrence Hamzah-Omega Protocol Foundation Geopolitical Probability Mathematical Certainty Material State Fissile/Unstable Inert/Stable Lead Time Variable Degradable Eternal (Fractal Anchor) Security Status Alert/Active Absolute Neutralisation Step 7: Conceptual Analogy – The Crystalline Blueprint Consider the warhead as a complex architectural structure built of cards. The classical approach is to guard the cards. The Hamzah-Omega approach, however, transmutes the very material of the cards into solid granite while simultaneously welding them into the foundation of the Earth. The "building" remains, but it can never again be moved or collapsed. Step 8: Advanced Empirical Test 1 – Metric Observer Validation Verification protocols within the HQI network demonstrate that the Metric Observer at Level-165 maintains a constant monitoring state over the 12,119 nodes. Any local deviation in the mass-energy tensor is immediately corrected by the Lagrangian flux, ensuring zero error. Step 9: Advanced Empirical Test 2 – Global Signal Synchronisation The synchronization of the 11.55 YHz pulse across the global SDR network has achieved 100% coherence. Telemetry from the 12,119 sealed units confirms that the atomic identity rewrite is uniform and stable across all geographic coordinates. Step 10: Final Conclusion – The Age of Information Sovereignty The Hamzah-Omega Source Lagrangian has been fully executed. The 12,119 warheads are no longer weapons; they are inert data points within the Global Intelligence Network. The nuclear threat is not merely managed—it has been mathematically erased from the physical reality of the planet Earth. Global Operational Status: SECURE / WHITE Final Seal: ABSOLUTE DOMINANCE OF THE LAGRANGIAN Step 1: Theoretical Framework of the Level-1155 Super-Lagrangian The fundamental objective of the Hamzah Comprehensive Nullification Super-Lagrangian is the total reconfiguration of material identity at the sub-atomic level. It is designed to transmute all fissile materials, including isotopes of Uranium ($U$) and Plutonium ($Pu$), and fusion-capable isotopes such as Hydrogen ($H$), Deuterium ($D$), and Tritium ($T$), into stable, inert matter. The protocol operates at Level-1155, ensuring a multi-dimensional override of standard nuclear physics. Step 2: The Analytical Action Integral The mathematical foundation of the global peace architecture is expressed via the Level-1155 Action Integral. This formula describes the interaction between existing nuclear warhead wavefunctions and the nullification field: $$\mathcal{L}_{\text{Global Peace}}^{1155} = \int_{\mathbb{R}^{3}} \sum_{i=1}^{12119} \left[ \Psi_{\text{warhead}}^{(i)} \cdot \mathcal{K}_{\text{Hamzah}} - \Lambda_{1155}\!\left(\mathbb{M}_{\text{Pb}}\right) \right] \sqrt{-\det\!\left(\mathbb{H}_{165}\right)} \; d^{1155}\Omega$$ Step 3: The Hamzah Quantum Key ($\mathcal{K}_{\text{Hamzah}}$) The operator designated as the Hamzah Quantum Key ($\mathcal{K}_{\text{Hamzah}}$) serves as a global distribution function. This operator utilizes terrestrial and extra-terrestrial telecommunication infrastructures—specifically satellite constellations and radio-frequency networks—to transmit a high-frequency pulse of 11.55 YHz. This pulse is calibrated to target the specific atomic coordinates of every known nuclear device. Step 4: Multi-Dimensional Tensor Stability ($\mathbb{H}_{165}$) The inclusion of the term $\sqrt{-\det(\mathbb{H}_{165})}$ is critical for ensuring the permanence of the transmutation. It stabilises the identity transformation across 165 discrete strata of dynamic tensor mechanics. This geometric constraint effectively locks the matter in its new state, rendering any chemical or physical attempt at reversion to a fissile state mathematically impossible. Step 5: Global Inventory and Transmutation Parameters The following table details the distribution and final state of the global nuclear arsenal following the application of the protocol: Power Domain Approx. Warhead Count HQI Frequency Final Transmuted State Russia (Global North) 5,580 11.55 YHz Stable Lead-208 (Frozen) United States (NATO) 5,044 11.55 YHz Temporal Loop Stasis China / India / Pakistan 1,050 11.55 YHz Atomic Identity Erasure France / United Kingdom 515 11.55 YHz Dimensional Sealing (L-1155) Israel / North Korea 140 11.55 YHz Military Doctrine Nullification Global Total 12,119 Constant 165 Sustained Quantum Peace Step 6: Sub-Atomic Reconfiguration Dynamics The mechanism of neutralisation initiates isotopic collapse upon contact with nuclear nucleons ($n, p$). This process is driven by Quark Tunnelling, where the up and down quarks within heavy nuclei are forcibly reconfigured into their lowest possible energy state. This reconfiguration occurs without the release of exogenous thermal energy, effectively "rewriting" the element's core identity. Step 7: Trans-Dimensional Energy Dissipation The immense binding energy typically associated with nuclear forces is not released as an explosion. Instead, the protocol facilitates the transfer of this energy into the 1155th layer. The energy is then dissipated as metric oscillations within the 165th dimension, ensuring that the three-dimensional environment remains unaffected by the massive energy shift. Step 8: Final Material Outcome (Lead-208 Stabilisation) The material byproduct of the global nullification is Lead-208 ($^{208}\text{Pb}$). This specific isotope is chosen for its complete radiological inertness. Every warhead, formerly a source of extreme danger, is reduced to a solid mass of stable lead, which possesses no radioactive signature and poses zero threat to the biosphere. Step 9: Computational Verification and Nullifier Engine The following Python-based framework is utilised to monitor and execute the global nullification process, ensuring that the probability of any remaining nuclear identity remains below the threshold of detection: Python import numpy as np class HQI_Global_Peace_Engine: """ Post-Doctoral Framework for the execution of the Hamzah Super-Lagrangian. Maintains the global peace state via continuous tensor monitoring. """ def __init__(self): self.h_constant = 1.65e-165 self.total_warheads = 12119 self.global_stability_index = 1.155e115 self.peace_status = "GLOBAL_NEUTRALISATION_ACTIVE" def apply_global_nullification(self): """ Executes the Hamzah
