Abstract

In this paper, we study coherence-induced state ordering with Tsallis relative entropy of coherence, relative entropy of coherence and $l_{1}$ norm of coherence. Firstly, we show that these measures give the same ordering for single-qubit states with a fixed mixedness or a fixed length along the direction $σ_{z}$. Secondly, we consider some special cases of high dimensional states, we show that these measures generate the same ordering for the set of high dimensional pure states if any two states of the set satisfy majorization relation. Moreover, these three measures generate the same ordering for all $X$ states with a fixed mixedness. Finally, we discuss dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under Markovian channels. We find phase damping channel don't change the coherence-induced state ordering for some single-qubit states with fixed mixedness, instead amplitude damping channel change the coherence-induced ordering even though for single-qubit states with fixed mixedness.

Sufficient Conditions of the Same State Order Induced by Coherence*

Fu-Gang Zhang, Yongming Li

Abstract In this paper, we study coherence-induced state ordering with Tsallis relative entropy of coherence, relative entropy of coherence and l 1 norm of coherence, and give the sufficient conditions of the same state order induced by above coherence measures. First, we show that the above measures give the same ordering for single-qubit states in some special cases. Second, we consider some special states in a d -dimensional quantum system. We show that the above measures generate the same ordering for these special states. Finally, we discuss dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under Markovian channels. We find amplitude damping channel changes the coherence-induced ordering even though for single-qubit states with fixed mixedness.

Dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under Markovian channels

Yang, L., Chen, B., Fei, S. +1 more

We study the dynamics of coherence-induced state ordering under incoherent channels, particularly four specific Markovian channels: amplitude damping channel, phase damping channel, depolarizing channel and bit flit channel for single-qubit states. We show that the amplitude damping channel, phase damping channel, and depolarizing channel do not change the coherence-induced state ordering by l1 norm of coherence, relative entropy of coherence, geometric measure of coherence, and Tsallis relative α-entropies, while the bit flit channel does change for some special cases.

Ordering states of Tsallis relative $α$-entropies of coherence

Fu-Gang Zhang, Lian-He Shao, Yu Luo +1 more

In this paper, we study the ordering states with Tsallis relative $α$-entropies of coherence and $l_{1}$ norm of coherence for single-qubit states. We show that any Tsallis relative $α$-entropies of coherence and $l_{1}$ norm of coherence give the same ordering for single-qubit pure states. However, they don't generate the same ordering for some high dimensional pure states, even though these states are pure. We also consider three special Tsallis relative $α$-entropies of coherence, such as $C_{1}$ ,$C_{2}$ and $C_{\frac{1}{2}}$, and show any one of these three measures and $C_{l_{1}}$ will not generate the same ordering for single-qubit mixed states. Furthermore, we find that any two of these three special measures generate different ordering for single-qubit mixed states.

Quantum coherence of a two-qubit system based on correlated channels

Liu Sun, Shao-Qiang Shang

Abstract This paper systematically investigates the coherence dynamics of a two-qubit system under correlated channels. Through density matrix transformation and operator algebra derivation, we analyze the regulatory effects of memory properties of correlated amplitude damping, phase damping, and depolarization channels on three kinds of coherence, namely l 2 -norm coherence, Tsallis 2-relative entropy coherence, and Rényi 2-relative entropy coherence. The results show that phase damping and depolarization channels induce coherence freezing under perfect memory conditions, where coherence values remain invariant with channel damping rate variations. In partial memory environments, l 2 -norm coherence exhibits superior stability and retains coherence more efficiently than the other two coherence measures. In addition, we quantitatively evaluate the cohering and decohering power of these coherences under the correlated amplitude damping channel. This work provides theoretical support for anti-noise design of quantum technologies in open quantum systems.

Complementary relations between l p norm coherence and mixedness of quantum states

Liu Sun, Yuan-Hong Tao, Shao-Ming Fei

Abstract As an important resource, quantum coherence is one of the fundamental features of the quantum world. It is essential to understand the relationship between the resource and the mixedness of an open quantum system. We present complementary relations between the l p ( 1 ⩽ p < 2 ) norm of coherence and the normalized linear entropy mixedness. We then study the geometry of the complementary relations for Bell-diagonal states, as well as the evolutions of Werner and isotropic states under bit flip, phase flip, bit-phase flip, depolarizing, generalized amplitude damping and amplitude damping channels. Our results include some existing conclusions as special cases.
