Phase diagram and binding energy of interacting Bose gases

M. Männel, Klaus Morawetz, Michael Schreiber +1 more

From the many-body $T$ matrix, the condition for a medium-dependent bound state and its binding energy is derived for a homogeneous interacting Bose gas. This condition provides the critical line in the phase diagram in terms of the medium-dependent scattering length. Separating the Bose pole from the distribution function, the influence of a Bose condensate is discussed and a thermal minimum of the critical scattering length is found.

A Note on the Binding Energy for Bosons in the Mean-Field Limit

Lea Boßmann, Nikolai Leopold, David Mitrouskas +1 more

Abstract We consider a gas of N weakly interacting bosons in the ground state. Such gases exhibit Bose–Einstein condensation. The binding energy is defined as the energy it takes to remove one particle from the gas. In this article, we prove an asymptotic expansion for the binding energy, and compute the first orders explicitly for the homogeneous gas. Our result addresses in particular a conjecture by Nam (Lett Math Phys 108(1):141–159, 2018), and provides an asymptotic expansion of the ionization energy of bosonic atoms.

Thermodynamics of trapped quantum gases on weighted structures

Pinchen Xie, Bingjia Yang, Zhongzhi Zhang

We studied the thermodynamic behaviors of non-interacting bosons and fermions trapped by a scale-invariant branching structure of adjustable degree of heterogeneity. The full energy spectrum in tight-binding approximation was analytically solved . We found that the log-periodic oscillation of the specific heat for Fermi gas depended on the heterogeneity of hopping. Also, low dimensional Bose-Einstein condensation occurred only for non-homogeneous setup.
