Dynamics investigation of the quantum-control-assisted multipartite uncertainty relation in heisenberg model with dzyaloshinski-moriya interaction

Jie Xu, Xiao Hong Zheng, Ailing Ji +1 more

Abstract Recently, Zheng constructs a quantum-control-assisted multipartite variance-based uncertainty relation, which successfully extends the conditional uncertainty relation to the multipartite case [Annalen der physik, 533, 2100014 (2021)]. We here investigate the dynamics of the new uncertainty relation in the Heisenberg system with the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction. It is found that, different from entanglement, the mixedness of the system has an interesting single-valued relationship with the tightness and lower bound of the uncertainty relation. This single-valued relationship indicates that the tightness and lower bound of the uncertainty relation can be written as the functional form of the mixedness. Moreover, the single-valued relationship with the mixedness is the common nature of conditional uncertainty relations, and has no relationship with the form of the uncertainty relations. Also, the comparison between the new conditional variance-based uncertainty relation and the existing entropic one has been made.

Real-time Information, Uncertainty and Quantum Feedback Control

Bo Qi, Daoyi Dong, Chunlin Chen +2 more

Feedback is the core concept in cybernetics and its effective use has made great success in but not limited to the fields of engineering, biology, and computer science. When feedback is used to quantum systems, two major types of feedback control protocols including coherent feedback control (CFC) and measurement-based feedback control (MFC) have been developed. In this paper, we compare the two types of quantum feedback control protocols by focusing on the real-time information used in the feedback loop and the capability in dealing with parameter uncertainty. An equivalent relationship is established between quantum CFC and non-selective quantum MFC in the form of operator-sum representation. Using several examples of quantum feedback control, we show that quantum MFC can theoretically achieve better performance than quantum CFC in stabilizing a quantum state and dealing with Hamiltonian parameter uncertainty. The results enrich understanding of the relative advantages between quantum MFC and quantum CFC, and can provide useful information in choosing suitable feedback protocols for quantum systems.

Stronger uncertainty relations with arbitrarily tight upper and lower bounds

Jun Zhang, Yang Zhang, Chang‐shui Yu

We utilize quantum superposition principle to establish the upper and lower bounds on the stronger uncertainty relation [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113, 260401 (2014)], i.e., the ”weighted-like” sum of the variances of observables. Our bounds include some free parameters which not only guarantee the nontrivial bounds but also can effectively control the bounds as tightly as one expects. Especially, these parameters don’t obviously depend on the state and observables. It also implies one advantage of our method that any nontrivial bound can always be tight enough. In addition, we generalize both bounds to the uncertainty relation with multiple observables, but the perfect tightness is not changed. Examples are given to illustrate the tightness of our bounds in each case.
