Time-invariant entanglement and sudden death of nonlocality

We investigate both theoretically and experimentally the dynamics of entanglement and nonlocality for two qubits immersed in a global pure dephasing environment. We demonstrate the existence of a class of states for which entanglement is forever frozen during the dynamics, even if the state of the system does evolve. At the same time nonlocal correlations, quantified by the violation of the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) inequality, either undergo sudden death or are trapped during the dynamics.

Distillability of Sudden Death in Qutrit-Qutrit Systems under Global Mixed Noise*

Bing-Bing Chai, Jin‐Liang Guo

Considering the influences of collective dephasing, multilocal qutrit-flip, local qutrit-flip, and the combination of global mixed noise, we study the dynamics of entanglement and the phenomenon of distillability of sudden death (DSD) in a qutrit-qutrit system under various decoherent noises. It is shown that the system always undergoes DSD when it interacts with multilocal and local qutrit-flip noise, and the time-determined bound entangled state is more dependent on different noises. Comparing with the cases of global mixed and collective dephasing noise, we conclude that the qutrit-flip noise is responsible for the DSD.

Nonlocality dynamics for an eight-qubit model in cavity QEDs

Ihab H. Naeim, Josep Amengual i Batle, S. Abdalla +1 more

We study the nonlocality dynamics for an eight-qubit model in cavity QED, where four atoms are confined in four different cavities, all of them initially prepared in the maximally correlated state of four qubits, which corresponds to the atomic degrees of freedom. The nonlocality evolution for the latter states will show that the corresponding maximal violation of a multipartite Bell inequality will experience revivals at precise times, defining, in analogy with entanglement, nonlocality sudden deaths, as well as nonlocality sudden rebirths. The present contribution paves the way to describe, by employing the nonlocality multipartite correlation measure, collective complex behavior displayed by slightly interacting cavity QED arrays.
