Abstract

The finite volume problem of O(2N) sigma models with integrable diagonal boundaries on a finite interval is investigated. The double row transfer matrix is diagonalized by Algebraic Bethe Ansatz. The boundary Bethe Yang equations for the particle rapidities and the accompanying Bethe Ansatz equations are derived.

Nonstandard Bethe Ansatz equations for open O(N) spin chains

Tamás Gombor

The double row transfer matrix of the open O(N) spin chain is diagonalized and the Bethe Ansatz equations are also derived by the algebraic Bethe Ansatz method including the so far missing case when the residual symmetry is O(2M+1)×O(2N−2M−1). In this case the boundary breaks the “rank” of the O(2N) symmetry leading to nonstandard Bethe Ansatz equations in which the number of Bethe roots is less than as it was in the periodic case. Therefore these cases are similar to soliton-nonpreserving reflections.

Bethe ansatz solution of the openXXspin chain with non-diagonal boundary terms

Rafael I. Nepomechie

We consider the integrable open XX quantum spin chain with non-diagonal boundary terms. We derive an exact inversion identity, by which we obtain the eigenvalues of the transfer matrix and the Bethe ansatz equations. For generic values of the boundary parameters, the Bethe ansatz solution is formulated in terms of the Jacobian elliptic functions.

Algebraic Bethe ansatz for 19-vertex models with upper triangularK-matrices

Rodrigo A. Pimenta, A. Lima-Santos

By means of an algebraic Bethe ansatz approach, we study the Zamolodchikov–Fateev and Izergin–Korepin vertex models with non-diagonal boundaries, characterized by reflection matrices with an upper triangular form. Generalized Bethe vectors are used to diagonalize the associated transfer matrix. The eigenvalues as well as the Bethe equations are presented.

An introduction to the algebraic Bethe ansatz

James Plunkett, Omar E. Foda

The algebraic Bethe ansatz is one of the main approaches to solving integrable models in statistical mechanics. This thesis is a detailed introduction to aspects of this technique. In chapter 1, following Takhtajan1, we fully explain all preliminaries that are required by this technique in the context of the 8-vertex model, including the solution of the Yang-Baxter equations in terms of Boltzmann weights that are parameterized by elliptic function. In chapter 2, also following Takhtajan, we restrict our attention to the special case of the 6-vertex model, with Boltzmann weights parameterized by hyperbolic trigonometric functions, formulate the model in detail on a finite lattice with periodic boundary conditions, and show how the algebraic Bethe ansatz can be used to characterize the eigenvectors and eigenvalues, in the homogeneous case (all vertical rapidities are equal, and all horizontal rapidities are also equal). In chapter 3, following Bogoliubov et al2, we consider the 6-vertex model in inhomogeneous case (all rapidities are now independenti variables) but with domain wall boundary conditions. Using the algebraic Bethe ansatz, and Izergin’s result for the partition function, we calculate boundary 1-point functions of the six-vertex model on a finite lattice and represent them in determinant form. Boundary Bethe ansatz in massless AdS3

Daniele Bielli, Vasileios Moustakis, Алессандро Торриелли

We construct the boundary algebraic Bethe Ansatz for the AdS3 X S3 X T4 integrable reflection problem restricted to the massless sector. We derive the double-row monodromy and find the appropriate formulation of the dual equation of Sklyanin's. We perform the algebraic Bethe ansatz and obtain the RTT (more properly the RTRT) relations, from which the spectrum is obtained by repeated action of the B operator on the pseudovacuum. We obtain the Bethe equations by cancelling the unwanted terms, and prove the exact formulae for any number of quantum particles and magnonic excitations.

On the Exact Solution of Models based on Non-Standard Representations

J. Gruneberg

(revised version) The algebraic Bethe ansatz is a powerful method to diagonalize transfermatrices of statistical models derived from solutions of (graded) Yang Baxter equations, connected to fundamental representations of Lie (super-)algebras and their quantum deformations respectively. It is, however, very difficult to apply it to models based on higher dimensional representations of these algebras in auxiliary space, which are not of fusion type. A systematic approach to this problem is presented here. It is illustrated by the diagonalization of a transfer-matrix of a model based on the product of two different fourdimensional representations of Uq ( ̂ gl ′ (2,1; C)). I.
