The Entanglement Level and the Detection of Quantum Data Transfer Correctness in Short Qutrit Spin Chains

Abstract

The quantum entanglement is an important feature of many protocols in the field of quantum computing. In this paper we evaluate a level of entanglement in short qutrit chains. This evaluation is carried out with use of the computable cross norm and realignment criterion and the concurrence measure. We also present some explicit formulae describing the concurrence measure for exemplary short spin chains. Utilizing the obtained results, we indicate that analysing the level of entanglement allows to detect the noise or deviation in the transfer process, in comparison to the perfect transfer where only operation realizing transfer is present.

Quantum qubit switch: entropy and entanglement

Marek Sawerwain, Joanna Wiśniewska

The quantum entanglement is considered as one of the most important notions of quantum computing. The entanglement is a feature of quantum systems and it is used as a basis for many quantum algorithms and protocols. In this paper we analyze the level of entanglement for the quantum switch, during its work. The level of entanglement during the correct operating may be compared with the situation when a noise is present in the analyzed system. The noise changes the level of quantum entanglement and we utilize this observation to evaluate if the switch works properly. We present the formulae describing the value of entanglement with use of the Concurrence measure and also the value of entropy. Both mentioned values may be utilized to detect the noise during the operating of quantum switch.

Entanglement detection beyond the computable cross-norm or realignment criterion

Chengjie Zhang, Yong-Sheng Zhang, Shun Zhang +1 more

Separability problem, to decide whether a given state is entangled or not, is a fundamental problem in quantum information theory. We propose a powerful and computationally simple separability criterion, which allows us to detect the entanglement of many bound entangled states. The criterion is strictly stronger than the criterion based on Bloch representations, the computable cross-norm or realignment criterion and its optimal nonlinear entanglement witnesses. Furthermore, this criterion can be generalized to an analog of permutation separability criteria in the even-partite systems.

Moments based entanglement criteria and measures

Yiding Wang, Tinggui Zhang, Xiaofen Huang +1 more

Abstract Quantum entanglement plays a key role in quantum computation and quantum information processing. It is of great significance to find efficient and experimentally friend separability criteria to detect entanglement. In this paper, we firstly propose two easily used entanglement criteria based on matrix moments. The first entanglement criterion only uses the first two realignment moments of a density matrix. The second entanglement criterion is based on the moments related to the partially transposed matrix. By detailed examples we illustrate the effectiveness of these criteria in detecting entanglement. Moreover, we provide an experimentally measurable lower bound of concurrence based on these moments. Finally, we present both bipartite and genuine tripartite entanglement measures based on the moments of the reduced states. By detailed examples, we show that our entanglement measures characterize the quantum entanglement in a more fine ways than the existing measures.

A Class of Bound Entangled States of Two Qutrits

Jacek Jurkowski, Dariusz Chruściński, A. Rutkowski

We provide a new class of states of two qutrits displaying the so-called bound entanglement. We investigate the states using various versions of computable cross-norm and realignment criteria recently introduced in [7].

Combo separability criteria and lower bound on concurrence

S. M. Zangi, Jiansheng Wu, Cong‐Feng Qiao

Abstract Detection and quantification of entanglement are extremely important in quantum information theory. We can extract information by using the spectrum or singular values of the density operator. The correlation matrix norm deals with the concept of quantum entanglement in a mathematically natural way. In this work, we use Ky Fan norm of the Bloch matrix to investigate the disentanglement of quantum states. Our separability criterion not only unifies some well-known criteria but also leads to a better lower bound on concurrence. We explain with an example how the entanglement of the given state is missed by existing criteria but can be detected by our criterion. The proposed lower bound on concurrence also has advantages over some investigated bounds.

Enhanced entanglement transfer by phase-shift control in two parallel Heisenberg spin chains

Zhao-Ming Wang, Shao Bin, Chang Ping +1 more

We investigate the effect of phase shift on the entanglement transfer in two parallel 1D spin chains. We calculate the concurrence, measures for two-qubit entanglement, as a function of time. We find the maximum achievable entanglement in the cases with and without phase shift. Although the entanglement transfer becomes slow in most cases with phase shift, the significant enhancement of the maximum achievable entanglement is obtained which suggests its potential usefulness in quantum information processing.
