Remote entanglement preparation

Abstract

We introduce a multipartite communication scheme, with the aim to enable the senders to remotely and obliviously provide the receivers with an arbitrary amount of multipartite entanglement. The scheme is similar to remote state preparation (RSP). However, we show that even though the receivers are restricted to local unitary operations, the required resources for remote entanglement preparation are less than for RSP. In order to do so we introduce a canonical form of arbitrary multipartite pure states describing an arbitrary number of qubits. Moreover, we show that if the receivers are enabled to perform arbitrary local operations and classical communication, the required resources can drastically be reduced. We employ this protocol to derive robust entanglement purification protocols for arbitrary pure states and show that it can also be used for sending classical information.

Remote State Preparation for Multiple Parties

Wenhan Dai, Tianyi Peng, Moe Z. Win

Remote state preparation (RSP) is a technique to transmit quantum states with classical communication and previously shared entanglement. In this paper, we consider RSP in a multiparty setting. A simple yet nontrivial case is studied, where there is one sender and two receivers. We put forth a broadcasting method for developing multiparty RSP protocols. We show that this method can remotely prepare arbitrary states by consuming classical and quantum resources. For preparing highly entangled states, the proposed method achieves the lower bound for the amount of consumed resources asymptotically.

Multiparty-controlled remote state preparation of multiple qubit-string information

Peng Jia-yin, Yi Xiang

In this paper, we first propose a remote state preparation (RSP) scheme in the traditional sense, which accomplishes the remote preparation of a single-qubit controlled by multiple agents in the network. This triggers a new RSP scheme, by which we can remotely prepare tensor product-type quantum states controlled by one agent. After that, we generalize the above approach to the RSP scheme of multi-qubit information controlled by multiple agents in the network. In the extended scheme, as long as all agents operate faithfully, the receiver can recover all qubits of information in the original state; otherwise, the scheme fails. Such a scheme entangles quantum information in the preparation process, thus slashing the cost of such quantum resources as auxiliary qubits and local unitary operations, and, meanwhile, reducing the number of classical bits transferred among participants. Finally, we further investigate the remote preparation scheme for multiple qubit-string information under the control of multiple agents in the network.

Efficient schemes of joint remote preparation with a passive receiver via EPR pairs

马松雅, 高聪, 罗明星

Novel schemes are put forward to execute the joint remote preparation of an arbitrary two-qubit state with a passive receiver via EPR pairs as the entangled channel. Compared with the previous protocols, the required multi-particle measurement is simplified and the classical communication cost is reduced. When the number of senders increases, the advantage is more evident. It means that the proposed schemes are more efficient in practice.

Two novel schemes for probabilistic remote state preparation and the physical realization via the linear optics

Jiahua Wei, Hong‐Yi Dai, Ming Zhang +2 more

In this paper, we put forward two novel schemes for probabilistic remote preparation of an arbitrary quantum state with the aid of appropriate local unitary operations when the sender and the receiver only have partial information of non-maximally entangled state, respectively. The concrete implementation procedures of the novel proposals are given in detail. Additionally, the physical realizations of our proposals are discussed based on the linear optics. Because of that neither the sender nor the receiver need to know fully the information of the partially entangled state, our schemes are useful to not only expand the application range of quantum entanglement, but also enlarge the research field of probabilistic remote state preparation (RSP).

Efficient scheme for remote preparation of an arbitrary tripartite four-particle entangled state

Pengcheng Ma, Gui-Bin Chen, Xiaowei Li +1 more

We propose a novel scheme to realize remote preparation of an arbitrary tripartite four-particle entangled state via two three-particle GHZ states as the quantum channel. In this scheme, the sender should employ several novel two-particle projective measurements on her particles. According to the sender’s measurement outcome, the receiver will carry out local unitary operations and suitable C-NOT gates on his particles to recover the desired state. It is shown that, in our scheme, the total successful probability of the RSP can reach 1.
