Abstract

We present two entanglement concentration protocols (ECPs) for arbitrary three-electron W state based on their charges and spins. Different from other ECPs, in both two ECPs, with the help of the electronic polarization beam splitter (PBS) and charge detection, the less-entangled W state can be concentrated into a maximally entangled state only with some single charge qubits. The second ECP is more optimal than the first one, for by constructing the complete parity check gate, the second ECP can be used repeatedly to further concentrate the less-entangled state and obtain a higher success probability. Therefore, both the ECPs, especially the second one may be useful in current quantum information processing.

Electronic cluster state entanglement concentration based on charge detection

Jiong Liu, Sheng-Yang Zhao, Lan Zhou +1 more

We propose an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) based on electron-spin cluster states assisted with single electrons. In the ECP, we adopt the electron polarization beam splitter (PBS) and the charge detector to construct the quantum nondemolition measurement. According to the result of the measurement of the charge detection, we can ultimately obtain the maximally entangled cluster states. Moreover, the discarded items can be reused in the next round to reach a high success probability. This ECP may be useful in current solid quantum computation.

Efficient electronic entanglement concentration assisted by single mobile electrons

Yu-Bo Sheng, Lan Zhou

We present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for mobile electrons with charge detection. This protocol is quite different from other ECPs for one can obtain a maximally entangled pair from a pair of less-entangled state and a single mobile electron with a certain probability. With the help of charge detection, it can be repeated to reach a higher success probability. It also does not need to know the coefficient of the original less-entangled states. All these advantages may make this protocol useful in current distributed quantum information processing.

Optimal entanglement concentration for three-photon W states with parity check measurement

Lan Zhou, Yu‐Bo Sheng, Shengmei Zhao

We present an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for the less-entangled W state with some identical conventional polarized single photons. In the protocol, two of the parties say Alice and Charlie should perform the parity check measurements and they can ultimately obtain the maximally entangled W state with a certain success probability Otherwise, they can obtain another less-entangled W state, which can be reconcentrated into the maximally entangled W state. By iterating this ECP, a high success probability can be achieved. This ECP may be an optimal one and it is useful in current quantum information processing.

Compact entanglement concentration for three-electron-spin W states with error-detected parity-check gates

Gang Fan, Xue-Mei Ren, Fang‐Fang Du

Abstract We present a compact entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for unknown less-entangled three-electron-spin W states, resorting to the interaction rules between the circularly polarized photon and cavity-quantum-dot (QD) system. In the first step of our ECP, the parties utilize two less-entangled three-electron-spin systems not only to obtain one partially entangled three-electron-spin system with two unknown parameters if the odd-parity occurs with the parity-check gate (PCG) but also to get one entangled two-electron-spin system if the even-parity occurs. By exploiting the above three-electron-spin and two-electron-spin systems as the resource for the second step of our ECP, the parties can obtain a standard three-electron-spin W state if the odd parity occurs. Meanwhile, the systems in the even-parity instance can be used as the resource in the next round of our ECP. As the imperfect performances originated from the side leakage and the limited coupling strength of the cavity-QD system can be reflected by clicking the single-photon detectors, the fidelity of the PCG is unit, in principle, immune to strong coupling-strength restriction. Moreover, the success of our ECP not only is heralded by the detectors but also its efficiency further is improved by repeating the operation processes. Therefore, our ECP is useful in the quantum communication network.

Arbitrary Partially Entangled Three-Electron W State Concentration with Controlled-Not Gates

Yu‐Bo Sheng, Zhao-Feng Feng, Yang Ou-Yang +2 more

We describe an efficient entanglement concentration protocol (ECP) for an arbitrary partially entangled three-electron W state. We show that with the help of two ancillary single electrons, the concentration task can be well completed. This ECP has several advantages: Firstly, we only require one pair of partially entangled states. Secondly, only two single electrons are used during the whole protocol. Thirdly, we do not require all the parties to participate in the whole process, and only two parties are needed to perform the operation. Fourthly, the protocol can be repeated to obtain a high success probability. This ECP may be useful in current quantum computation and quantum communication.

Efficient entanglement concentration for three-photon W states with parity check measurement

We present an optimal entanglement concentration ECP for an arbitrary less-entangled W state. By two of the parties say Alice and Charlie performing one parity check measurements, they can obtain the maximally entangled W state with a certain probability. Otherwise, they can obtain another lesser-entangled W state with another probability, which can be used to reconcentrated into a maximally entangled W state. By iterating this ECP several times, it has the maximal success probability. This ECP maybe an optimal one and is useful in current quantum information processing.
