Abstract

We derive a general framework to identify genuinely multipartite entangled mixed quantum states in arbitrary-dimensional systems and show in exemplary cases that the constructed criteria are stronger than those previously known. Our criteria are simple functions of the given quantum state and detect genuine multipartite entanglement that had not been identified so far. They are experimentally accessible without quantum state tomography and are easily computable as no optimization or eigenvalue evaluation is needed.

k-separability criterion of mixed multipartite quantum states

Ting Gao, Yan Hong

The $k$-separability of mixed $n$-partite ($n\geq 3$) quantum states is mainly discussed in this paper. We obtain practical $k$-separability criteria to identify $k$-nonseparable mixed multipartite states in arbitrary dimensional quantum systems and detect genuine $n$-partite entanglement ($k=2$) and entanglement ($k=3$) which have previously not been identified. No optimization or eigenvalue evaluation is needed, our criteria can be evaluated by simple computations involving components of the density matrix and can be implemented in today's experiments.

Experimentally feasible set of criteria detecting genuine multipartite entanglement in n -qubit Dicke states and in higher-dimensional systems

Marcus Huber, Paul Erker, Hans Schimpf +2 more

We construct a set of criteria detecting genuine multipartite entanglement in arbitrary dimensional multipartite systems. These criteria are optimally suited for detecting multipartite entanglement in $n$-qubit Dicke states with $m$ excitations, as shown in exemplary cases. Furthermore, they can be employed to detect multipartite entanglement in different states related to quantum cloning, decoherence-free communication, and quantum secret sharing. In a detailed analysis, we show that the criteria are also more robust to noise than any other criterion known so far, especially with increasing system size. Furthermore, it is shown that the number of required local observables scales only polynomially with size, thus making the criteria experimentally feasible.

Detection of genuinely entangled and nonseparable n -partite quantum states

Ting Gao, Yan Hong

We investigate the detection of entanglement in $n$-partite quantum states. We obtain practical separability criteria to identify genuinely entangled and nonseparable mixed quantum states. No numerical optimization or eigenvalue evaluation is needed, and our criteria can be evaluated by simple computations involving components of the density matrix. We provide examples in which our criteria perform better than all known separability criteria. Specifically, we are able to detect genuine $n$-partite entanglement which has previously not been identified. In addition, our criteria can be used in today's experiments.

Efficient k-separability criteria for mixed multipartite quantum states

Ting Gao, Yan Hong, Yao Lu +1 more

We investigate classification and detection of entanglement of multipartite quantum states in a very general setting, and obtain efficient $k$-separability criteria for mixed multipartite states in arbitrary dimensional quantum systems. These criteria can be used to distinguish $n-1$ different classes of multipartite inseparable states and can detect many important multipartite entangled states such as GHZ states, W states, anti W states, and mixtures thereof. They detect $k$-nonseparable $n$-partite quantum states which have previously not been identified. Here $k=2,3,\cdots,n$. No optimization or eigenvalue evaluation is needed, and our criteria can be evaluated by simple computations involving components of the density matrix. Most importantly, they can be implemented in today's experiments by using at most $\mathcal{O}(n^2)$ local measurements.

Multipartite entanglement detection from correlation tensors

Julio I. de Vicente, Marcus Huber

We introduce a general framework for detecting genuine multipartite entanglement and non-full-separability in multipartite quantum systems of arbitrary dimensions based on correlation tensors. Regarding genuine multipartite entanglement, our conditions are comparable to those of previous approaches in the case of qubits, while they show particular strength in the relatively unexplored case of higher-dimensional systems. In the case of non-full-separability, our conditions prove to be advantageous in situations where more than two-body correlations are relevant, where most previous conditions turned out to be weak. Moreover, they allow for the detection of fully bound entangled states. Finally, we also discuss experimentally friendly ways of implementing our conditions, which are based on directly measurable quantities.

Detection of genuine multipartite entanglement in arbitrary multipartite systems

Yu Shan Lu, Shao-Ming Fei

We study the genuine multipartite entanglement of arbitrary n-partite quantum states by representing the density matrices in terms of the generalized Pauli operators. We introduce a general framework for detecting genuine multipartite entanglement and non full-separability of multipartite quantum states with arbitrary dimensions based on correlation tensors. Effective criterion is derived to verify the genuine multipartite entanglement. Detailed examples are given to show that the criterion detects more genuine multipartite entanglement than the existing criteria.
