Abstract

We introduce generalized quantum Markov states and generalized d-Markov chains which extend the notion quantum Markov chains on spin systems to that on C*-algebras defined by general graphs. As examples of generalized d-Markov chains, we construct the entangled Markov fields on tree graphs. The concrete examples of generalized d-Markov chains on Cayley trees are also investigated.

QUANTUM MARKOV CHAINS AND ISING MODEL ON CAYLEY TREE

Luigi Accardi, Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Mansoor Khajibaevich Saburov

In the present paper wes tudy forward Quantum Markov Chains (QMC)associated with Ising model on Cayley tree of order k. Using the tree structure of graphs, we give a construction of Quantum Markov Chains on a Cayley tree. By means of such construction we prove the existance of a phase transition for the Ising model on a Cayley tree of order k in QMC scheme. By the phase transition we mean the existance of two not quasi equivelant QMC for the given family of interaction operators.

Discrete Quantum Markov Chains

Ulrich Faigle, Alexander Schönhuth

A framework for finite-dimensional quantum Markov chains on Hilbert spaces is introduced. Quantum Markov chains generalize both classical Markov chains with possibly hidden states and existing models of quantum walks on finite graphs. Quantum Markov chains are based on Markov operations that may be applied to quantum systems and include quantum measurements, for example. It is proved that quantum Markov chains are asymptotically stationary and hence possess ergodic and entropic properties. With a quantum Markov chain one may associate a quantum Markov process, which is a stochastic process in the classical sense. Generalized Markov chains allow a representation with respect to a generalized Markov source model with definite (but possibly hidden) states relative to which observables give rise to classical stochastic processes. It is demonstrated that this model allows for observables to violate Bell’s inequality.

Entropy of quantum Markov states on Cayley trees

Abdessatar Souissi, Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov

Abstract In this paper, we continue the investigation of quantum Markov states (QMSs) and define their mean entropies. Such entropies are explicitly computed under certain conditions. The present work takes a huge leap forward at tackling one of the most important open problems in quantum probability, which concerns the calculations of mean entropies of quantum Markov fields. Moreover, it opens up a new perspective for the generalization of many interesting results related to the one-dimensional QMSs and quantum Markov chains to multi-dimensional cases.

Phase transitions for XY-model on the Cayley tree of order three in quantum Markov chain scheme

Farrukh Maksutovich Mukhamedov, Mansoor Khajibaevich Saburov

In the present Note we study forward Quantum Markov Chains (QMC) defined on a Cayley tree. Using the tree structure of graphs, we give a construction of quantum Markov chains on the Cayley tree. By means of such constructions we prove the existence of a phase transition for the XY -model on a Cayley tree of order three in QMC scheme. By the phase transition we mean the existence of two distinct QMC for the given family of interaction operators { K 〈 x , y 〉 } .

Quantum Markov chains: A unification approach

Luigi Accardi, Abdessatar Souissi, El Gheteb Soueidi

In this paper, we study a unified approach for quantum Markov chains (QMCs). A new quantum Markov property that generalizes the old one, is discussed. We introduce Markov states and chains on general local algebras, possessing a generic algebraic property. We stress that this kind of algebras includes both Boson and Fermi algebras. Our main results concern two reconstruction theorems for quantum Markov chains and for quantum Markov states. Namely, we illustrate the results through examples.

On stopping rules for tree-indexed quantum Markov chains

Abdessatar Souissi

In the present paper, we introduce stopping rules and related notions for quantum Markov chains on trees (QMCT). We prove criteria for recurrence, accessibility and irreducibility for QMCT. This work extends to trees the notion of stopping times for quantum Markov chains (QMC) introduced by Accardi and Koroliuk, which plays a key role in the study of many properties of QMC. Moreover, we illustrate the obtained results for a concrete model of XY-Ising type.
