Abstract

We classify different classes of entangled states arise in a two-qubit system. Some of these classes are of Bell's state types, while others are of the Werner's state types. The degree of entanglement is quantified for different values of the atomic and the cavity parameters. We show that it is possible to generate entangled state with high degree of entanglement by controlling the detuning and the number of photon inside the cavity.

Generation of Different Classes of Multipartite Entanglement Using Cavity-QED

Mustapha Ziane, Rachid El Guerbouz, Fatima-Zahra Siyouri +1 more

Abstract Using a system of cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) we present two schemes for multipartite entanglement generation. In the first scheme, a three-level atom is interacting with three cavities successively. In the second one, two three-level atoms are interacted with a coherent optical cavity. These protocols allow us to generate the six classes of tripartite entanglement (GHZ, W, A-B-C, AB-C, C-AB, and B-AC class states) by controling the interaction time between atoms and cavities. Moreover, they allow us to generate entanglement between the cavity fields degrees of freedom (from the first scheme), and a mixed entanglement between the cavity field degrees of freedom and the atomic degrees of freedom.

Evolution of the pair-coherent state with the two-qubit: entanglement and cat-state generation

Faisal A. A. El-Orany, A.‐S. F. Obada, M.A. Abdelslam +1 more

In this paper, we study the interaction between two two-level atoms and two nondegenerate cavity modes when the atoms and the field are initially in the atomic superposition states and the pair-coherent state (PCS), respectively. We investigate the atomic inversions, tangles and joint probability distribution. We show that the system can generate long-living entanglement by controlling the values of the interaction parameters. Also we show generally that for obtaining a large amount of entanglement from two qubits interacting with a maximally entangled two-mode state one has to prepare the qubits initially in the decoupled states. Moreover, the system – at certain values of interaction parameters – can generate different types of nonclassical states, such as the mth-photon PCS, statistical mixtures of PCSs and superposition of PCS.

Generation and evolution of entanglement in coupled quantum dots interacting with a quantized cavity field

Arnab Mitra, Reeta Vyas, Daniel B. Erenso

The generation of entanglement between two identical, interacting quantum dots---initially in ground states---by a coherent field and the subsequent time evolution of the entanglement are studied by calculating the concurrence between the two dots. The results predict that while it is possible to generate entanglement (or entanglement of formation, as defined for a mixed state) between the two dots, at no time do the dots become fully entangled to each other or is a maximally entangled Bell state ever achieved. We also observe that the degree of entanglement increases with an increase in the photon number inside the cavity and a decrease in the dot-photon coupling. The behavior of the two-dot system, initially prepared in an entangled state and interacting with thermal light, is also studied.

Generation of multipartite entangled states by cavity QED

Zhang Ying-Jie, Ren Ting-Qi, Yun‐Jie Xia

We propose the methods of generating multipartite entanglement by considering the interaction of a system of N two-level atoms in M cavities of high quality factor with a strong classical driving field. It is shown that, with the cavity detuning, the applied driving field detuning and vacuum Rabi coupling, we can produce an entangled coherent state in two single-mode cavities and generate the entangled coherent cluster states in two bimodal vacuum cavities. Tuning these parameters also allows us to acquire the anti-Jaynes–Cummings (AJC) interaction, with which we can generate the maximally two-photon entangled states, and the two-atom and the two-photon entangled cluster states.

Generating Entangled States of Multilevel Atoms through a Selective Atom-Field Interaction

Zhihua Chen, Xiu‐Min Lin

We present a scheme to generate entangled state of two multilevel atoms in a high-Q optical cavity. In the protocol, the selective atom-field interaction is highly controlled, which can yield a resonant interaction inside one selected atom-field subspace and leave the others in a highly dispersive regime. The atomic spontaneous emission is efficiently suppressed via the large atom-field detuning. Simultaneously, the proposal only requires commonly addressing on atoms inside the cavity, which reduces the difficulties of experiment.
