Abstract

Based on a pure solid-state device consisting of two superconducting $LC$ circuits coupled to a superconducting flux qubit, we propose in this paper that the maximally entangled coherent states of the two $LC$ modes can be generated for arbitrary coherent states through flux qubit controls.

Quantum Entanglement of Flux Qubits via a Resonator

Anatoly Yu. Smirnov, Alexandre M. Zagoskin

We show that flux qubits can be efficiently entangled by inductive coupling to a tunable resonant circuit, in the scheme reminiscent of atoms' entanglement through the optical cavity mode. It is shown, in particular, that the single-photon excitation of the resonator produces the pure Bell state of qubits with the completely disentangled LC circuit.

Preparation of Macroscopic Entangled Coherent States in Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers Ensembles Coupled to a Superconducting Flux Qubit*

Liang-Wei Wang, Zhang-Cai Long

Abstract We propose a potentially practical scheme for creating macroscopic entangled coherent state between two separate nitrogen-vacancy center spin ensembles placed near a superconducting flux qubit. Through the collective magnetic coupling and the in situ tunability of the flux qubit, the arbitrary entangled coherent states of spin ensembles can be achieved with high success possibilities under the influence from decoherence of the flux qubit and spin ensembles. The experimental feasibility and challenge are justified using currently available technology.

Quantum Information Transfer between Topological and Superconducting Qubits

Fang-Yu Hong, Jing-Li Fu, Zhi-Yan Zhu

We describe a scheme that enables a strong Jaynes-Cummings coupling between a topological qubit and a superconducting flux qubit. The coupling strength is dependent on the phase difference between two superconductors on a topological insulator and may be expediently controlled by a phase controller. With this coherent coupling and single-qubit rotations arbitrary unitary operations on the two-qubit hybrid system of topological and flux qubits can be performed. Numerical simulations show that quantum state transfer and entanglement distributing between the topological and superconducting flux qubits may be performed with high fidelity.

Entanglement Control of Superconducting Qubit Single Photon System

Kouichi Semba

If we could achieve full control of the entangled states of a quantum bit (qubit) interacting with a single photon in a single-mode resonator, then we could obtain a coherently coupled multi-qubit state, which is indispensable for quantum computation. In this paper, I explain some of our recent results, especially the time-domain control of the entanglement of a superconducting flux qubit with a microwave single-photon system.
