Abstract

The impurities of exchange couplings, external magnetic fields and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction considered as Gaussian distribution, and the entanglement in one-dimensional random XY spin systems is investigated by the method of solving the different spin-spin correlation functions and the average magnetization per spin. The entanglement dynamics at central locations of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic chains have been studied by varying the three impurities and the strength of DM interaction. (i) For the ferromagnetic spin chain, the weak DM interaction can improve the amount of entanglement to a large value, and the impurities have the opposite effect on the entanglement below and above critical DM interaction. (ii) For the antiferromagnetic spin chain, DM interaction can enhance the entanglement to a steady value. Our results imply that DM interaction strength, the impurity and exchange couplings (or magnetic field) play competing roles in enhancing quantum entanglement.

The entanglement in one-dimensional random XY spin chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

In this paper, the entanglement in one-dimensional random XY spin system with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction is investigated, for which the impurities of exchange couplings and the external magnetic fields are considered as random Gaussian distribution variables. By solving the different spin-spin correlation functions and the average magnetization per spin, the concurrence is found. The results show that the Gaussian distribution and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction have considerable effect on the entanglement near particular locations of the system. Moreover, the entanglement can be controlled and enhanced by varying the distributions of the impurities, the strength of external magnetic field and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction.

The entanglement in one-dimensional random XY spin systems where the impurities of exchange couplings and the external magnetic fields are considered as random variables is investigated by solving the different spin–spin correlation functions and the average magnetization per spin. The entanglement dynamics near particular locations of the system is also studied when the exchange couplings (or the external magnetic fields) satisfy three different distributions (the Gaussian distribution, double-Gaussian distribution, and bimodal distribution). We find that the entanglement can be controlled by varying the strength of external magnetic field and the distributions of impurities. Moreover, the entanglement of some nearest-neighbouring qubits can be increased for certain parameter values of the three different distributions.

The effect of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction on entanglement in one-dimensional XY spin model

Liu Sheng-Xin, Li Sha-Sha, Xiang-Mu Kong

The effects of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction on the thermal entanglement of mixed-spin XY chain (1/2,3/2) and spin 1 XY chain are investigated through negativity. By calculating the entanglement between two particles, it was found that the DM interaction can not only increase the entanglement, but also make the entanglement of the particles reach a stationary value. The higher the temperature, the greater the DM interaction is required to make the thermal entanglement arrive at this stationary value. Under the same condition, the entanglement between two spin 1 particles is less than that between mixed-spin. The exchange-coupling interactions between the spins are helpful to strengthen the thermal entanglement, hence the exchange-coupling can be used to modulate the entanglement along with the DM interaction. When the exchange-coupling interaction is small, one can enlarge the DM interaction to increase the entanglement, whereas, when the DM interaction is small, one can increase the thermal entanglement through increasing the exchange-coupling interaction.

The dynamics of one-dimensional random quantumXYsystem with Dzyaloshinskii—Moriya interaction

Yin-Fang Li, Xiang-Mu Kong

In this paper, the effects of random variables on the dynamics of the s = 1/2 XY model with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction are studied. By means of the recurrence relation method in the high-temperature limit, we calculate the spin autocorrelation functions as well as the corresponding spectral densities for the cases that the exchange couplings between spins or external magnetic fields satisfy the double-Gaussian distribution. It is found that when the standard deviation of random exchange coupling δ J (or the standard deviation of random external field δ B ) is small, the dynamics of the system undergoes a crossover from a collective-mode behavior to a central-peak one. However, when δ J (or δ B ) is large, the crossover vanishes, and the system shows a central-peak behavior or the most disordered one. We also analyze the cases in which the exchange couplings or the external fields satisfy the bimodal and the Gaussian distributions. Our results show that for all the cases considered, the dynamics of the above system is similar to that of the one-dimensional random XY model.

Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions effects on the entanglement dynamics of a two qubit xxz spin system in non-Markovian environment

Georges Collince Fouokeng, Martin Tchoffo, Edwine Tendong +1 more

We investigate the exact entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, interacting with an anisotropic spin bath in thermal equi- librium at a temperature T, driven by an external magnetic field B along the z-axis. We establish that, for an initially entangled qubit pair, the DM interactions generate entanglement and enhance the entanglement in the revival region. The effects of the DM interaction are also seen to be very important at high temperatures and for weak coupling between the two qubits where it is seen to preserve entanglement. These effects are weakened when the magnetic field B and the Heisenberg coupling are switched on. If the two-qubits are prepared in an initially separable state, the DM in- teraction instead has a negative effect on their entanglement. On a whole entanglement can better be preserve in the spin chain even at high temperatures by increases the external magnetic field B and the Heisenberg couplings, and by tuning the strength of the DM interaction.

Thermal Entanglement in Two-Qutrit Heisenberg XX Chain with Different Dzyaloshinskii—Moriya Interaction and Nonuniform Magnetic Field

Meng Qin, Yanbiao Li, Zhong Bai +2 more

The effects of the different Dzyaloshinskii—Moriya (DM) interaction on thermal entanglement of a two-qutrit Heisenberg XX spin chain in a nonuniform magnetic field are investigated. Our results imply that the x-component DM interaction plays a central role in enhancing quantum entanglement and it has a higher critical temperature than the z-component DM interaction. The entanglement can be tunable controlled by changing the multiple of the magnetic fields B 1 and B 2 . Also we found that different DM interaction are competitive to each other in some conditions.
