Abstract

We construct a family of tri-atomic models for heteronuclear and homonuclear molecular Bose–Einstein condensates. We show that these new generalized models are exactly solvable through the algebraic Bethe ansatz method and derive their corresponding Bethe ansatz equations and energies.

I introduce two families of exactly solvable models for multiatomic hetero-nuclear and homo-nuclear molecular Bose–Einstein condensates through the algebraic Bethe ansatz method. The conserved quantities of the respective models are also shown.

Solvable models of Bose–Einstein condensates: A new algebraic Bethe ansatz scheme

Huan-Qiang Zhou, Jon Links, M. D. Gould +1 more

A new algebraic Bethe ansatz scheme is proposed to diagonalize classes of integrable models relevant to the description of Bose–Einstein condensation in dilute alkali gases. This is achieved by introducing the notion of ℤ-graded representations of the Yang–Baxter algebra.

Richardson—Gaudin form of Bethe Ansatz solutions for an atomic-molecular Bose-Einstein condensate model

Yibing Shen, Jon Links

An integrable model describing the interconversion between Bose-Einstein condensates of atomic and molecular degrees of freedom is studied. An exact solution for this model has been previously derived via the algebraic Bethe Ansatz formalism. Here we derive an alternative solution of the Richardson-Gaudin form, and highlight some of the implications of the result.

We review the theory for exactly solving quantum Hamiltonian systems through the algebraic Bethe ansatz. We also demonstrate how this theory applies to current studies in Bose-Einstein condensation and metallic grains which are of nanoscale size.

EXACTLY SOLVABLE BCS-BEC CROSSOVER HAMILTONIANS

A. BIRRELL, Phillip S. Isaac, Jon Links

We demonstrate a novel approach that allows the determination of very general classes of exactly solvable Hamiltonians via Bethe ansatz methods. This approach combines aspects of both the co-ordinate Bethe ansatz and algebraic Bethe ansatz. The eigenfunctions are formulated as factorisable operators acting on a suitable reference state. Yet, we require no prior knowledge of transfer matrices or conserved operators. By taking a variational form for the Hamiltonian and eigenstates we obtain general exact solvability conditions. The procedure is conducted in the framework of Hamiltonians describing the crossover between the low-temperature phenomena of superconductivity, in the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) theory, and Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC).
