Abstract

We present a scheme for conditionally teleporting an unknown atomic state in cavity QED, which requires two atoms and one cavity mode. The translational degrees of freedom of the atoms are taken into account using the optical Stern-Gerlach model. We show that successful teleportation with probability 1/2 can be achieved through local measurements of the cavity photon number and atomic positions. Neither direct projection onto highly entangled states nor holonomous interaction-time constraints are required.

Approximate and Conditional Teleportation of an Unknown Atomic State Without Bell-State Measurement with Two-Photon Interaction

Changyong Chen

A scheme for approximately and conditionally teleporting an unknown atomic state via two-photon interaction in cavity QED is proposed. It is the extension of the scheme of Ref. [11] [Phys. Rev. A 69 (2004) 064302], which is based on Jaynes–Cummings model in QED and where only a time point of system evolution and the corresponding fidelity implementing the teleportation are given. In our scheme, the two-photon interaction Jaynes–Cummings model is used to realize the approximate and conditional teleportation. Our scheme does not involve the Bell-state measurement and an additional atom, only requiring two atoms and one single-mode cavity. The fidelity of the scheme is higher than that of Ref. [11]. The scheme may be generalized to not only the teleportation of the state of a cavity mode to another mode by means of a single atom but also the teleportation of the state of a trapped ion.

Approximate and Conditional Teleportation of an Unknown Atomic-Entangled State Without Bell-State Measurement

Changyong Chen, Shaohua Li

A scheme for approximately and conditionally teleporting an unknown atomic-entangled state in cavity QED is proposed. It is the novel extension of the scheme of [ Phys. Rev. A 69 (2004) 064302], where the state to be teleported is an unknown atomic state and where only a time point of system evolution and the corresponding fidelity implementing the teleportation are given. In fact, there exists multi-time points and the corresponding fidelities, which are shown in this paper and then are used to realize the approximate and conditional teleportation of the unknown atomic-entangled state. Naturally, our scheme does not involve the Bell-state measurement or an additional atom, which is required in the Bell-state measurement, only requiring one single-mode cavity. The scheme may be generalized to not only the teleportation of the cavity-mode-entangled-state by means of a single atom but also the teleportation of the unknown trapped-ion-entangled-state in a linear ion trap and the teleportation of the multi-atomic entangled states included in generalized GHZ states.

Teleportation of an unknown atomic-entangled state in cavity QED

Qiu Chang-dong

The interaction of V-type three-level atom with two-mode cavity field is described and the interaction formula between atom and cavity field is obtained. An alternative scheme is proposed for teleportation of an unknown atomic-entangled state without the Bell-state measurement. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of V-type three-level-atom with two-mode cavity field.By means of selective measurement on the atom to be teleported state,it follows that the teleportation of an unknown atomic-entangled state is realized. And the scheme is experimentally feasible based on the current cavity QED technique and the success probability is 1/16.

EFFICIENT TELEPORTATION OF UNKNOWN ATOMIC ENTANGLED STATES

Yan Zhao, Ming Yang, Zhuo‐Liang Cao

We propose a scheme for teleporting unknown atomic entangled states in cavity QED. With the assistance of a strong classical field, the photon number dependent parts in the effective Hamiltonian are canceled. Thus, the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field. In addition, our scheme does not require the Bell-state measurement directly and the success probability can reach 1.0 in our scheme.

Probabilistic teleportation of two-unknown entangled atomic states without Bell-State measurement

Xiaoyan Zhou, Fang Jian-Xing, Ni Hui-Ying

In this paper, we propose a protocol for teleportation of two unknown atomic states using non-maximally entangled states. We consider teleportation for atomic entangled states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). Through analysis, we conclude that it could be succeed without joint BSM (Bell-State measurement). One BSM can be exactly converted into two separate atomic measurements on the two relevant atoms only by one step using the interaction between the atoms and atoms in the cavity. The most remarkable advantage of our scheme is that the teleportation and distillation procedure can be carried out concurrently. Suppose that the cavity mode is prepared in vacuum state. We can utilize the Hamiltonian for the system, discussing how to make teleportation successful. And we discuss the probability of reconstructing the initial state. We consider two identical two-level atoms simultaneously interacting with a single-mode cavity field. There is no energy exchange between the atomic system and the cavity, so we use the detuned interaction between atoms and atoms in cavity in the scheme which is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field. For the resonant cavity, in order to realize the teleportation successfully, the relationship between the teleportation time and the excited atom lifetime should take into consideration. The time required to complete the teleportation should much shorter than that of atom radiation. Hence, atom with a sufficiently long excited lifetime should be chosen. The discussion of the scheme indicates that it can be realized by current technologies.

Teleportation of an unknown atomic state in cavity QED

Ma Song-She

A scheme is proposed for teleportation of an unknown atomic state based on the nonresonant interaction of two coupled two-level atoms with a single-mode cavity field. The scheme only requires the cavity field to be in a coherent state. After the interaction between the atoms and the cavity, the cavity is left in a coherent state.By detecting the states of atoms,an unknown atomic state is teleported. The scheme can also be used to teleport an unknown atomic entangled state.
