2025 EDITION FOCUS AREA:
In this edition, leaders from the quantum computing ecosystem will come together to co-create the next generation of use cases for quantum technology across multiple sectors, including healthcare, energy, chemicals, financial services, telecom, cybersecurity, and more.

Multidisciplinary teams collaborate with global quantum technology partners and leading Qatari institutions, using real data to co-create prototypes and turn bold ideas into pilot-ready solutions.
About the BIG QUantum hackathon
Phase 1: November 15-16, 2025
Ideation & Technical Development
In this initial stage, industry leaders from healthcare, energy, logistics, and financial services present real-world challenges in AI, materials science, multiphysics modeling, and generative design. Diverse teams, including students, researchers, and engineers collaborate to develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge quantum computing platforms provided by leading hardware and software providers. The most promising technical solutions advance to phase 2 for business validation and market assessment.
Phase 2: November 17-18, 2025
Business Application & Market Fit
This is where innovation meets implementation. Venture capitalists and industry consulting groups join the technical teams qualified from phase 1, to transform promising prototypes into deployable business solutions. Technical teams work closely with industry partners to assess commercial viability while simultaneously developing and refining their business models.
This collaborative effort aligns the key elements of the quantum computing ecosystem, creating a clear path from innovation to real-world impact.
Phase 3: November 18, 2025
Award Ceremony & Networking Cocktail
The awards ceremony and networking bring stakeholders together to exchange ideas and build partnerships dedicated to advancing future industrialization of quantum technology.
