Team Thread: Recruiting & Joining

Instructions: Participants need to go to the "Team Settings" menu within the competition they want to join.
From there, there are two options:
  1. Create a team by clicking "Create an organization."
  2. Signal that they're looking to join a team by flipping the availability switch. This makes them visible to other participants as an available member, and team leaders can then add them directly to their team.

Looking to Join or Form a Team – GIC 2026 (US Federal Agency (Confidential) / qBraid, MITRE & JonesTrading)
Hi everyone, my name is Van Tien Nguyen. I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at UTSA working in quantum computing, machine learning, and quantum machine learning.
My email: tien.nguyen@utsa.com.
Timezone: Central Time (US)
Current teammates: 0 (currently looking to join or build a team)
I’m looking to join or form a team for:
  • US Federal Agency (Confidential): GIC 2026
  • qBraid, MITRE & JonesTrading: GIC 2026
My background includes hybrid quantum-classical methods, quantum optimization, tensor methods, and ML, and I’m comfortable with Python, Qiskit, Pennyland, benchmarking, and building technically grounded solution plans with classical baselines. I’m especially interested in working with teammates who bring quantum, optimization, ML, finance/industry, or strong application-domain expertise and want to build a credible, high-quality submission.
Please reach out if you are looking for a teammate or want to form a team together!
